Strangely, on strict carnivore for two weeks now, no sugar of any kind, and glucose readings on cgm are going up??? I am no longer hungry (good thing with no cravings) and am eating fat and protein twice a day. Has anyone else experienced this rise in sugar? Went from about 130 to 190s with peaks at 200 to 230 after eating ONLY carnivore with water.. 1 cup of coffee a day. Down 5 lbs since I started two weeks ago, but the rise in sugar is concerning. Only on metformin for t2d. Any suggestions or comments? I am committed to carnivore for 90 days to see if it works for me, especially, sugar and weight. I will continue and hope for improvement. Thanks! Great conference info.

Why call VLDL,IDL remnant lipoproteins? I would call HDL the only Remnant/leftover. What are the differences between Apo B and Apo A? Can anyone educate me?

@free2ufreefertilizer 5 days ago All these doctors talking about what to eat and what not to eat-this is one big pile of shit. None of them have a clue about what's going into your food. Doctors, let me educate you guys. Head out to your local farmer-yes, one nearby. Don't go too far. You'll find plenty of agricultural chemicals: Roundup, 2,4-D, and a couple more I can't pronounce that go on a lot of agricultural crops. My favorite one is Trimec broadleaf weed killer. It smells so good when it's sprayed on your food. Don't worry, you can't wash it off. It's systemic. Do you know what systemic means? When you spray the plant, the residue soaks into the soil. Yeah, you heard me right. It soaks into the soil, and then the plant's root system takes it up and stores the chemical in the leaf structure you're going to eat. But don't worry, it's in low doses. It won't kill you right away; it just causes prolonged exposure. Then it will wreak all kinds of havoc in your body. But you won't be able to identify it because you're not going to know how it happened or what the causation of your illness is because you ate the illness three years ago, six months ago, or two weeks ago when you were at the salad bar. The salad bar doesn't tell you, "Hey, we sprayed twenty-five different agricultural chemicals on your salad for you, and by the way, we didn't even charge you-you get it for free." People, you need to freaking wake up. They don't care about your health. All they care about is "stack it high, sell it cheap." Let me reiterate: Stack it high (Walmart), sell it cheap (Walmart), and all your big box store grocery stores. If they cared about you, the government would make all food manufacturers list all the chemicals they spray on your food. And they'd make it law so you'd know how much Roundup was sprayed on your food, how many chemicals, and in what dosages, and all the other shit-poison-you get to ingest every day with your family. Don't take my word for it. Go ask the farmers, the agricultural industry, Monsanto, Mosaic, Syngenta, and the US Department of Agriculture, who slaps a seal of approval on all this shit sprayed by agricultural chemical supply companies.

HELP NEEDED PLEASE. Can you please help me understand something? My Tri is 48 (scale is 60-150); my HDL is good, 75. My LDL is 127 (high). Ratio Tri to HDL is 0.64. My BP is perfect and BMI is a very low 20. I run a lift a bit (not excessively) but cannot gain ANY weight. I lost a gallbladder a few years back so maybe fat absorption (A,D,E & K) is an issue. I take a Dig. enzyme. I also think I have a fast metabolism after trying IF 18:6 just to try it. Lost 10lbs I did not need to and could never gain it back. I am going to a Cardio and a Gastro doc(s) tomorrow basically for check-ups. Are there any tests that you can please recommend? Also, any thoughts on my health picture would be very much appreciated. I have energy and feel mostly good- just too lean and heart disease ran on my fathers side. He died younger than I am now. Am I a LMHR? Thanks again!

Thank you so much. I am 65. Based on your pictures, I am stage 3. ALL of my doctors over the years have blamed me and my lack of will power for my medical conditions and how my legs look. I wish this were mandatory training for all doctors. I now eat carnivore, I am seeing and feeling real results.

I've just discovered the carnivore diet and was very surprised to learn how you are rarely hungry. I've never felt so satiated in my life. Never hungry in the morning anymore. Barely eating two meals a day. This is awesome. I came to lower my A1C level and am now also staying for the weight loss. 12 days in, 6lbs down. Loving it! ❤❤❤

What a load of friggin’ bullshit. Invest some of your time and watch all of Dr John McDougall’s KZread lectures and also follow up on some of the guest doctors he has on, and you will be blessed with the lifelong knowledge and power to see right through charlatans and bull-artists like dopey Dr Berry. You won’t have to intermittent fast, limit your calories, severely limit your carbs via delicious things like berries, bananas, rice, pasta and potatoes, and you will have the inner glow of knowing you are in the ‘awakened club’. It will be time well spent. Or you can foolishly stick with Dr Berry bull dust and even take it up a notch and go on the dopey Dr Mosley ‘800’ diet and limit your calorie intake to 800 per day and be starving hungry and in perpetual misery. What a bunch of paid sock-puppets.

I came across some information online that suggests that red meat is inflammatory, and therefore, should be avoided if someone has (idiopathic) small fiber neuropathic pain. However, I remember you mentioning that red meat is not inflammatory and can aid in healing nerve damage. Could you please help me understand this better? Thank you.

I also watched Dr Ken Berry and Siobhan Huggins podcast..then seen this one. So many Doctors and Health Care staff have no clue. They need to trained in these conditions. I was diagnosed in 2020 at age 56 after many vein removal and vein closure surgeries only to find out many vein surgeries were "not" needed , they were so painful to my Lipedema areas on my legs. I never had any leg ulcers from lymphadema.... Antiinflammatory diet was recommended, I went gluten free. I'm now on basic Metteranian, gluten free diet yet add beef 2 x week. I am losing weight and measuring myself twice a month. I feel much better emotionally to😊 Will follow this podcast and share. Thank you

What I like most about these conferences is the fact that NONE of these speakers is an ideological fanatic. They feel free and open to disagree with one another -- and that's awesome. Dr. Baker is a real outlier in the community and he STILL is part of the community. and will hopefully continue to be a part of it. He obviously disagrees with Dr. Chafee, Dr. Berry, Dr. Mason as well as Gary Taubs, yet there are no insults and childish behavior. Go to a Vegan convention and watch what happens if one of those speakers steps off the plantation just a little. Ugh.

I'm 75. All my life, even as a kid, I'd laugh at the 'new and improved' foods. I would wonder how to improve what was given by God. Thankfully most of my life I've eaten simple foods thanks to a great start in my 20's with the concept of Food Combining Made Easy by Herbert Shelton. But this last complete shift to 100% meat, well, maybe 98% meat...has been an eye opener. I'm thinking of with whom to share the info...somebody not resistant to learning. I'd worked with a bovine nutritionist when I managed a 1,000 cow dairy in the early 80's. One day we walked thru the herds talking feed, water, timing, and those food combining principles were affirmed. I am thankful I've never struggled with liking coffee! Don't need it... I need to work on the fasting part.

I’ve been carnivore for a week, and this evening I’m having some irritation in what I believe is the gallbladder. Which got me thinking about the fatty meats and what happens if my system isnt ready for meat all the time. Opinions?

I’ve used two supplements taken at the beginning and/or early into the meal that help: 1. Betaine Hcl (NOW brand is 648 mg, and I take more than 2 based on how fatty the meal is). 2. Lipase (Integrative Therapeutics, microbial enzymes, taken at the beginning of the meal; it’s a bit pricey, but you probably only need to take this one for a month).
