Just to let the rest of the world know, the British people today totally recognise that our history is not squeaky clean and we are in no way proud of the way the British treated other countries and we are very aware of the devastation those actions caused, I think we have learned a lot, so would appreciate it if the rest of the world could understand that nobody alive in Britain today had ANYTHING to do with those heinous acts so please stop looking at us like the villain 😂

The ghost girl Annie in Mary King's Close never bothers anyone, there is a big pile of toys that visitors leave, unfortunately the original doll that was given to her by a psychic in the 90s was stolen, Mary King's Close is very haunted but she's a friendly ghost

There is so much wrong with this terrible video. She should research her “FACTS” Scotland is not a Catholic country and there are probably more vicars than priests so that blows her bullshit out of the water when she talks about pedos, they come in all guises. I say this in their defence even being a presbyterian/protestant. I a this dumb tart messing up her pronunciation and butchering our language but not for this poorly put together piece of shite. You were on the right path when you said that this doesn’t matter over one piece. Please do your own research from an established source and you will truly discover what a truly beautiful country Scotland is. The innovation inventions and discoveries in many fields shows Scotland to be one of the most forward thinking innovative countries in the world. Also per capita at less than 6 million people they outshine most if not all countries in what they have contributed to modern life. All the best. Rab From Scotland.

Interesting to note the the narrator constantly refers to Great Britain and the UK, yet throughout makes no reference to Northern Ireland, when the former Province of Ireland as a whole, was much a part of- and indeed in some respects - more than most refionsof England, Wales and Scotland in the maaking of British history. He speaks about the Indutrial Revolution raising the UK's place in its growth, but totally cuts out Northern Ireland, famous for its flax & Linen industries that produced the finest linenin the world - and still does! He ignore the facts that Ni had the largest and most famous ship-building company in the world, the largest ropewoks in the world, and the oldest whiskey distillery in the world . The Americans love their air-conditioning , without realising it was invented and first used in NI; The tri-linking system for tractors was invented in NI, as was the first pneumatic tyre. In the First World War, NI was the only place to form a complete army division made up from fully-trained volunteer soldiers (formed to protect the province from terrorism).. Also in WW1, the highly treasured military trench coat - The "Ulster" - came from NI. Inboth world wars, Ulster Linenwas used not just for fine bedlinen and dressing the dinner table, but mentioned by Winston Churchill as being the finest fabric for military aircraft skins. WW2 briought the Quick-Release parachute harness and the phenomenal; military aeroplane Ejector Sear both invented in NI. Marconi made his fist radio broadcast in NI. As for food, the narrator left out the best-known breakfast, the Ulster Fry and Irish Stew from his listing, which puts the English Fry into the background. During WW2, Ni held more British and American troops than anywhere else in the UK, and it was here that the US Rangers were formed. It's also worth mentioning that no less than seventeen American Presidents came from, or had their family roots in NI, and five of the top British Generals in WW2 hailed from Ni. In the US, there are no less than five States that have a town named Belfast - Canada also has a couple of Belfast's! Name any other region in the UK that can make as many claims! The famous Delorean car was manufactured in NI; it went bust - but that asn American enterpirse! Away from NI, the narrator refers to the "Moat and Bailey Castles" but is way off the mark, for while many castles did have a moat ( a body of water circling the castle),, what he should have said was "Motte & Bailey" castle, a motte being a high mound or hillock for height advantage.

Had nothing to do with your colour. Slavery has always been an equal opportunity hazard - the merchants did not give a damn as long as they had a human to sell and as you heard there were millions of Europeans taken as slaves into Africa by the Arabs for centuries. Had there been a European king willing to sell his subject or his enemies/captives to dealers visiting their shore it would have been still going on in the 1800's. I guarantee withing about a mile of where you are sitting as you read this there will be slaves within that distance bought and sold to operate in a variety of industries including the sex industry.

I’m no expert so take it with a pinch of salt but the loss of Britain at that time would’ve massively changed the world. Europe had fallen. Russia was massively reinforced with British food, weapons, tanks, ammo, planes, plus Britain was a empire so territories and resources would’ve ended up in German hands plus what Europe offered and France was a empire too. And the Americans weren’t even in the war at that time. Could’ve literally reshaped the world in a horrific way. The Jews were a main German target but another way to say it could be their first target. I think if you weren’t white and Christian you were fucked. Tbh. And they were allied ish with Italy, Japan and whoever else. Looking back it’s a terrifying concept of what could’ve been.

There are different ranks of nobility. It is different in different countries. In the UK there are five ranks in the peerage (which is a name for nobility or those with titles) Dukes are the highest rank - they are addressed as “Your Grace”, many Princes will get given these titles upon their marriage. Marquess is the next rank - they are addressed as Lord - wherever they’re the Marquess of Earls are equivalent of Counts, their wives are called Countesses. They too are addressed as Lord - wherever they’re the Earl of. Viscounts are the next rank - it comes from Vice-Count. They are likewise addressed as Lords. Barons/Lords - these are the lowest form of nobility. Most noble families have multiple titles. Often many of these are lesser nobility ranks, so the peer will use the highest title, and then pass on the subsequent ranks to their children. So the Duke of Kent’s eldest son is Earl of St. Andrews, and his son is Lord Downpatrick.

United Kingdom is England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Britain is the main island of England, Scotland and Wales. Then there's the individual countries therein.
