That E36 reminds me a lot of my original E36, except mine was a 318i in brokatrot. Lovely thing, but of course I had to modify mine :D

@@OlliePenny Now I'm in the UK, since late last year, previously Latvia. When I got my E36 in 2021, it was the beggining of the prices going up for the basic cars that were left, since any six with any equipment was long gone.

@@OlliePenny M20B25. Short story, I built an Alpina spec M20B27, it blew up. I put a spare M20B25 in from an E34 I parted out as a hold over and it's extremely tired. Building a 3L M20 now.

Awh, I wish you had made it to Armenia, but because of our import fees, you wouldn't have been able to get rid of it here even for dirt cheap, we also don't have many diesel cars, you'd maybe at most get "parts car" price and farewell with this durable beast.

There are lots of rust free examples in CA due to the desert climate. Still would need to do the gaskets though, due to the dryness they all leak after a bit.

You´re missing the tall bottom washer below the strut mount. It looks like the conical one below the top nut, but taller and it is installed inversely.

Hey buddy, it seems you forgot the metal plate on the top of the mount, so it will probably happend again :-).

Maybe check up the other side if you have a toolbench ready for such fixes. Mostly they are on the way out too (had a similar E46 wagon... great drivers car :) ). Great videos!
