Watching your journey has been more fun than any of the Top Gear trips

Had something similar happened to my previous E90. Shock mount has gotten very rusty and when I hit a bigger pothole, I heard a loud "bam". It was the mount that teared through the rust and was rattling on every slightest unevenness of the road - very frustrating. Fingers crossed for you mate, hope you will make, this car is a legend and so are you!

It's such a small world - can't believe you saw those guys again!! This video has properly cracked me up haha!

Great video, mate. I'm pretty sure the shock tower suffers very badly from corrosion - you may have to replace both sooner or later

shock mount is cheap fix, there should be washer both side of that mount

could just be broken top strut mount, had the rubber of mine go into two pieces after speeding through speed bumps 😂

I don't think trousers are actually a requirement in walmart parking lots...at least it's not enforced.

well, this car did do amazing on top gear africa special (even though clarkson was driving it), so honestly think you can navigate the US roads without one or maybe two missing absorbers. but again, 20 y.o. bmw how are you doing mentally so far in this trip?

@@mnamescolei believe it was a 5 series with a straight six engine, and since it was older i think less things were to go wrong compared to the e46
