    This game is one of my favorites of all time and it's truly special to me. It resonates with me in a way no other game has managed to do. It even ended up teaching me a life lesson: A dream isn't what others set out for you, a dream is what you make of it.

    You can hold Tab + Right click to make de dog rushes trough the enemies dragging them with him.. its very good when you can't use the dog in active, and need to keep distance.. I'm playing now as a wizard, and this is helping me a lot!

    It sucks that the DLC is only good for the multiplayer and that simulation mode still has a bug that hasn't been fixed in years. Otherwise I would definitely play this game though I did forget about it years ago but at least it exists and it has some of that super robot wars soul implanted into it..... I am not surprised that 1 of the DLC units is the main character's unit but as a hot anime girl lol.

    Any way we can get widescreen emulators going for widescreen retro handhelds with low pixel density? This would fix the blurry interpolation when playing in correct aspect ratio

  • @MerryBytes
    @MerryBytes22 күн бұрын

    The SNES and MegaDrive ones are available as cores for RetroArch, so it's just a matter of installing them. The NES and Gameboy ones would need to be recompiled for Linux/Android though.

  • @ajcics
    @ajcics22 күн бұрын

    @@MerryBytes thank you for the reply. Would there need to be significant processing power in the handheld in order to support it if we assume the recompilation would be successful?

    I don't think so, the NES and Gameboy family are very easy to emulate. But of course, you'd have to test it for yourself.

    This was a great breakdown of the work being done to make this kind of stuff a reality! I have personally made around 100 videos since 2010 showing what retro games would look like in full HD. They push the boundaries much further than what the emulators are shown doing here, but it’s purely artistic and definitely not playable.

    It's really unfortunate how the game got abandoned without getting all the promised content, the devs also completely left their own discord, everyone that's still in there really isn't happy with the devs abandoning it for a mobile game

    It's not blatantly obvious unless you find the chest containing it, but this game does at least have a Repel system. Capsules like Metamorit will stop random encounters weaker than you, and Get Blown allows you to return to the location you last healed at using a healing device

    The reason why both part collection games are the same is because the first one was a limited release (a lottery tied to the bonbon magazine I think), the second game was the public release.

    Damn, I remember playing the 2nd one in 6th grade. Got it off Kazaa or Morpheus or one of those P2P sharing programs. Don't tell anyone! It didn't end up hurting the company, because I had no money back then. I'll pick up the combo pack on Steam to support the creators now that I'm an adult with money. This video brings back great memories. I even burnt it onto some CDs and shared it with friends who came back to tell me how awesome #2 was. I hope they also chose to bought it on Steam to support the creators of this masterful game. I didn't stay in touch with them unfortunately. Thanks for the video. Can't believe #4 didn't get sued with that very, very familiar ship showing up haha. Never mind what I wrote. That universe edition is too scummy for me to buy anything from that creator. Just disgusting. I'd rather a game have a simple, affordable, and sensible flat fee instead of tying key mechanics that let you continue to play to microtransactions. I hate microtransactions so much that I feel they should perhaps be moderated by the government in some fashion. Maybe, all that would be needed is a law requiring a clear description of what you can purchase, how it impacts gameplay, and whether it is pay-to-win or if it is purely cosmetic. The law would also proudly indicate if a game is live service with a sensible monthly fee instead. I understand live service games need a way to monetize to earn from their hard work and that, if the game has continued development, that represents a cost in need of being surpassed by a profit if things go well. Additionally, servers take money to run, so some consistent influx of cash is needed for anything multiplayer and live service. I just enjoy monthly fees I can comprehend and that guarantee I get the entire game over intentionally complex systems meant to prey on people through tactics of confusion (Not clear what you're buying) and addiction (I want to play more, but my lives ran out!). Just such a disgusting system. I only am all right (and I mean just all right, not ecstatic) with cosmetic microtransactions alone without any pay-to-win components. I'd still prefer all cosmetics available at a fair, flat, and monthly fee. People deserve to represent themselves online to reflect their artistic preferences and artistic side rather than needing to overpay to an extreme degree to keep up with trends and to alter your look to pursue what your heart says you should look like. Damn, microtransactions hurt people hard. Just use a flat, fair, and monthly fee. Now, I'm a fair person, so I realize a flat fee might lock some poorer people out of the game altogether whereas microtransactions will grant them access to some form of the game. This is extra nice when all microtransactions are cosmetic. This type of socialism is actually admirable when all microtransactions are cosmetic. The replacement is obvious: Have the game be free to play with all features other than cosmetics, and have a flat, fair, and monthly fee associated with unlocking ALL cosmetics for your personal expressive purposes. Please, can someone create a game that uses this model instead of preying on the instincts of children and the "I don't care I can afford it" of adults working pretty much any job? That's the problem with these systems: Kids don't know they are being put into a classist system where fads and new purchases serve to display your financial resources and serve to assert you are a higher class whereas adults seem to be fine with that despite how awful a system like that is. Adding insult to injury, the classist system is entirely ARTIFICIAL. At least, when you purchase a luxury good IRL, there is some component of material costs and construction costs. With digital goods, the company pays one artist for a week of work and reuses the result endlessly, flipping on bits for the people eager to display their financial success or the class of their parents. There should never be a class system like that when it is so artificial. Please, start using a single fee to unlock all skins for accessorizing purposes and for the aim of expressing yourself online. The only edge case I can think of is if there's a skin to show how long you've been with the game. Perhaps, that is fine. It's an actual history, and these should likely be available without the cosmetic fee, but I could see it also only being accessible with the cosmetic, monthly fee.
