    Once a year is the general recommendation. However, if you have hard water with more mineral content then you should flush more often.

Actually, there is really not a ´´best washing machine´´. Not even ´´best washing machine brand´´. You could say ´´best washing machines´´ and ´´best washing machine brands´´. Of course that is my opinion.

    You should make an update video on these machines since they’re almost a decade old. I can’t believe it’s already been that long! I remember watching this video when it was new. It’s the one that got me fascinated with lg laundry appliances. Now I have an lg set of my own and they’ve been great over the 4 years I’ve had them!

    fans dont cool rooms, they actually heat it up because of the motor. so not sure how it works with thermostats...

  • @Jjcoolstuff
    @Jjcoolstuff4 ай бұрын

    With a really efficient motor, the heat generated isn’t significant. However, you’re correct that fans don’t cool rooms. What they do is make you feel cooler by moving air across your skin. Similar to the normal temp outside and the “real feel”. The fan interacts with the thermostat to know what the temp is in the room and what you would like the temp to be. If the temp is rising and you’d prefer it be cooler, the fan will increase speed to help you feel cooler, not to actually lower the temp in the room necessarily. Though one could argue that when the fan picks up speed it moves the warmer air from near the ceiling and allows it to be better processed by the HVAC to actually cool the room better.

    Hi there! You have saved me from returning this washer 😮 Can one change the wash, spin, soil settings in any chosen cycle or do I need to leave as is once I select the cycle? For example, if the selected cycle defaults to warm, can I change it to cold without messing up the cycle process?

  • @Jjcoolstuff
    @Jjcoolstuff4 ай бұрын

    I’m glad the video was helpful. You can typically change certain aspects of the wash cycle with no issues. If the wash cycle requires a certain setting, then it won’t allow you to change it. For example, if washing on the wool cycle you can change the temp from warm to cold, but it won’t let you set it to hot. Or if using the delicate cycle you can lower the spin speed to low instead of medium, but you can’t go to high. It’s very clever in how it helps you not mess up the primary features of a cycle.

    Hi there-- many thanks for the video, @Jjcoolstuff! I am an independent TV news/doc producer. I've put a kit together to film with my iPhone 14pro--mostly sit down interviews + some b'roll: (1) Magnus TR-13 Travel Tripod with Dual-Action Ball Head + (1) DJI 2 mic pack + (2) Anker 633 battery packs 10000maH/ 20W + Pictron Metal Phone Tripod Mount + separate SmallRig Mobile Video Cage Kit with Dual Handles for iPhone 14 Pro + shotgun mic (TBD) for filming b'roll. I will be doing long- research/pre-interviews -- up to 1.5 hrs. Some Qs: --So in the first configuration, where the DJI receiver is plugged into the iphone, does it directly record the file onto the iPhone? If so, where does the recorded file appear on the iPhone? --In the 2nd configuration, the iphone is plugged into the hub and so is the DJI? How do they "talk" to each other? --Are there any tripod mounts/cages you can recommend that secure both the iPhone + the wireless magnetic battery at the same time? I think my best bet is the first configuration: the DJI mic plugged into iPhone port and keeping the iPhone humming along with the (2) magnetic batteries plugged into a power source-- that way there are fewer connections to mess up the audio + I don't run out of power. Would appreciate your thoughts!!

  • @Jjcoolstuff
    @Jjcoolstuff4 ай бұрын

    It sounds like you have a great setup! In the first configuration it will record to whatever app you’re using. For example if you’re recording a video using the iPhone camera, the sound for the video will come from the DJI mic rather than your iPhone’s internal mics. If you just need audio you can use the voice memos app to record. For the second configuration, the hub allows all devices connected to communicate. The same way you can use a multi-outlet extension cord to provide power to two devices. Connecting the hub to your iPhone allows you to power the device and receive the audio stream from the receiver at the same time. I don’t know of any mounts that could secure the phone and battery. I agree the first option is probably your best bet, and with a good MagSafe case your phone should stay securely connected to the battery.

    @@Jjcoolstuff THANK YOU for your guidance... one last question... I did a test interview this afternoon and played back the video on my iPhone and the audio volume was WAY too soft. Almost as though it didn't work and all I was getting was the audio off the iPhone's internal mic I had my subject's transmitter gain at (-6) and mine at (-7) and my receiver's gain at (0)--should the receiver be hiked up? Thank you!

  • @Jjcoolstuff
    @Jjcoolstuff4 ай бұрын

    @indieproducerDC transmitters and receiver come set to 0 out of the box. I would start there and only turn up if that doesn’t work. -6 and -7 are too low.

  • @indieproducerDC
    @indieproducerDC4 ай бұрын

    @@Jjcoolstuff Sorry! I meant (+6) and (+7) -I seemed to have resolved that issue. Volume all good. New issue-- one of the TXs is now suddenly not connecting at all to the RX. I've got the slow, light-colored green light flashing and I'm not seeing it on the touch screen. The other TX is fine-- solid green, connected. Any idea what the issue could be? This is a brand new mic pack. Appreciate your feedback.

    How did you get the receiver to record to the iPhone via the cable?

  • @Jjcoolstuff
    @Jjcoolstuff5 ай бұрын

    I didn’t have any issues getting it to connect. If it records when connected to the iPhone then it should record when connected to the hub. You do have to make sure you get a quality hub and you’re connecting it to the right type of port. Some ports in hubs are for power only and not data. So those ports wouldn’t work.

    I do, and it’s still going strong! I’ve replaced the drain pump twice but otherwise have done no other repairs to the washer. The dryer has started to turn off before the laundry is dry, so we’ve started to mostly use timed dry cycles. Otherwise, they’ve been very solid!

    We just ordered these today based off CReports recommendation. Our faithful and trusty Maytags are at there end of life at 17 years of use with only a minor fire in the dryer 5 or so years ago. Did my research and found out Maytag is no longer the leader of brands. Hoping these will last at least 15 years so it can be our last set till our own demise. I always try to buy quality no matter the price. These are the same price as our Maytags were back then.

    like the features, setup was difficult for some of my devices (August Door lock, kzread.infoUgkxhB5YOMNj04GuoAosExygP4cH-dKeb4aB Bose speaker)... but all switches and outlets (5), thermostat, tankless water heater. Unfortunately all I can do is turn on/off Bose. It doesn't support volume or changing channels, but I believe that is due to the particular speaker I have.... Worth getting if you already have other devices to use it with... I don't sit around and ask Alexa questions much so that doesn't really matter to me....
