Thank you for keeping the video focused and with no fluff. Nice evaluation. Originally I wasn't sure if there would be some distortion with the new case as was with the 6s/6s Plus cases. Great review.

+LegoYT if you’re using an iPhone 7 it has enough water resistance that those little splashes won’t hurt anything. You could also wait until you can dry the case off before you open it to prevent this as well.

That test location wouldn't be lassiter falls in Raleigh NC would it? the houses in the background and the rock outcrop look stupid familiar.

Yeah I checked but I'm very afraid to buy. There's prices around 30 but I'm afraid they are scams because I saw many websites saying they are mostly scams because real ones are supposed to be around 70-100

+Kevin Zheng yeah, there's a lot of truth to that. When I've done warranty claims on OtterBox cases before they make you take specific pictures of the case to prove that it's authentic because of how many knockoff cases there are out there. You're probably better off just saving your money and buying new.

+BeastMancilla Optrix makes a good one as does Hitcase, but I'm partial to the ProShot I mentioned in the review. I just used mine at the pool this weekend and love it!

I don’t know if I should get one...Right now I have a otter box and the rubber part is ripping bad and it’s all nasty looking. Should I get the nuud for my iPhone 7 Plus? Is it pretty thin in the hand? Will it fit in my pocket easily? And how long do these usually last? Is it school proof? Lol.

It’s a tough case and should last a while. It’s thin for what it is but there are definitely thinner cases that are just as tough. School proof shouldn’t be a problem.

+MARTINO NGUYEN it was redesigned for the iPhone 7 and is a better case in my opinion. It's still only water resistant to 2 meters just like the Nuud case for iPhone 6.

I thought the reason you would buy this case is so you can take it to the beach and/or pool. Do you mean because you can only keep it in water for a certain period of time and only at a certain depth? Wouldn't most people just be using it as they swim in a pool or beach where the depth is no more than 5-6 ft? Will it leak in a pool or lake?

+themathtuber it will definitely keep your phone safe in a pool or lake if you don’t go deeper than 6 ft and the case is clean and not damaged in any way. The problem is the case has such thin gaskets and membranes that it can easily become compromised between trips to the pool so that it’s waterproof one time and not the next. If I’m purposing to take my phone into a pool or lake I want something more durable that I can put more confidence in. I see this case as more of a daily driver for accidental spills and contact with water and the ProShotCase as the better case for around the lake and pool. They just sent me their redesigned case for iPhone 7 and they’ve made some great improvements. Stay tuned for that video in the coming weeks.

JJCoolStuff yeah,thanks for verifying because I took myn in the pool and was swimming and I was fine I was at the lake with my family and I went out a little far and it was fine so I would think the pool and lake would be fine

Wait why doesn't it have the glass protector in the front , How does the water not get in if Its open.. it's not closed , please help I need answers . I bought one and mine doesn't have the protector glass in the front either but water got in it I tested it with the tester it comes with when you buy it

+Jose Romo the glass protector is just included with the Nuud plus Alpha glass version. I received one of those and should have that review published soon. The glass doesn't help with waterproofing and just helps keep the screen from scratching and breaking. The front of the case has a gasket that forms a seal around the glass of the phone keeping water out. If yours leaked with the test unit then I'd suggest you contact LifeProof.

If you drop the case wouldn't the screen crack since it is not protected?

+Erik Perez like any case without a built in screen protector, if something sharp hits the screen it will crack. But most drops to normal surfaces won’t impact directly with the screen. +Salma Najih what I meant by that is generally when something is called waterproof it is safe from water regardless of depth. Watches mention they are water resistant to 50 or 100 meters, not waterproof. This case is water resistant to 2 meters, not waterproof. It's a minor technicality but worth mentioning.

I've had issues with the Fre version and the mute switch and the rubber around it eroding and wearing away, do you have that problem or foresee that problem with the Nuud?

+Sentinel 641 not with this version of the Nuud. The mute switch is a hard plastic and should last a long time.

+Mariela Martínez absolutely, but I wouldn't. (How's that for a confusing answer). I used to use my LifeProof case for taking pictures and video in the pool but then realized that since there's such a small gasket or membrane that stands between your phone living or dying that it's not worth it. Use the LifeProof for accidental spills and use the ProShot for underwater photography.

JJCoolStuff finally some with review videos with a brain. I've said this too because I really don't trust these cases also. I just killed my 6 from water running it through a cycle in the washing machine and cost me over $700 to replace and I lost 5 years worth of photos most of the important ones was my daughter growing up. Im not taking any risk this time.

+whatfreedom7 I lost a phone to another brand “waterproof” case as well. While it wasn’t as tragic as your situation, I definitely learned my lesson and only use the ProShot for trips to the pool or lake now.

If you drop this case in any solid place you can be 100% sure that the waterproof feature will not work. I don't recommend this case for everyday use, just use it when you know you are going to be in any place with snow or water.

+Nelson Martinez I disagree. I dropped it to solid rock twice in the video and then repeatedly threw it in water and it did fine. It makes a great everyday case if you need that level of protection.

It enrages me when people use the white iPhones with the black cases cuz the white home button looks so bad

Unfortunately they don’t make a white case anymore. I prefer the blue but wanted to demonstrate the black as well. I agree it would look better with a black home button.

Mine doesn't stand up either. It's either leaning up against something or pressed into the sand. A small heavy salt shaker works well.
