As a Jacksonville University and Florida State University fan I sort of had bad feelings about anything U.C.L.A. but Bill Walton was the most fantastic talent I ever watched. Shaq on his best day could not have got off the bench if Walton was playing.

Lebron was hated so much after he had that "The Decision" debacle, he could have won 7 out of those 8 straight finals appearances and people would still be hating saying he chased chips and put together superteams. Wade was already in Miami, and Kyrie was already in Clev. I'm trying to figure out what superteam did he join or put together. LBJ puts the super in super team. Without LBJ clev and miami just have a team. I do know this, he took a team of nobodies to the finals his first stint in clev. I'm inclined to believe if dan gilbert got him some help the first 6 years he was in clev, instead of being just happy with the sellouts and money LBJ himself was generating and taking him for granted as a cash cow, he probably would've spent most of his prime years there and won multiple chips. He still has spent more total years playing for the hometown team that drafted him.

If lebron would have been in Miami or Clev already and brought in Wade and Bosh or Kyrie and Love then I would say he put together a superteam. If LBJ wasn't the best player in the league at that time, and Wade and Bosh was better than him at the time then I would say he joined a superteam. Same for Kyrie and Love. Once again it wasn't a superteam until LBJ added himself to those teams.

Every player in the league that wants to win a chip is chasing a chip. It depends on how good your front office puts together a team that decides if you have the necessary players to win one. If the Bulls never got MJ the help he needed after the first 5 or 6 years of him losing in the league he would have probably rolled out of Chicago his damn self. You're not suppose to waste the prime years of your career playing for an organization that doesn't know how to or has no real desire to put a championship team together. Especially when you look around after 6 years and see who you're still playing with.

Unbelievable talent 6'7 260 athletic soft touch beast on the boards could pass hit the J just a beast and unfortunately his back injury nipped his hall of fame future in the bud. 20 pts and 10 Reb and 3 to 5 asts a night when healthy. In my opinion if he stays healthy he is up there with Duncan, Malone, Barkley, etc definitely top 5 to 7 only if that damn back injury didn't interfere. One of my favorite players ever especially when he was at UNLV I witnessed the 90 Rebels play the 1st/2nd Round here in Salt Lake City and he was dominant. 91 UNLV Should have gone back to back except for questionable Dukie foul calls in the 2nd half and down the stretch

From 8th grade thru highschool, I idolized the Iceman! Watching #44 was like watching him in slowmo. THen in 85' when I graduated I saw a special player enter the league from North Carolina and I was like "UH OH" This when everyone was all about Dominic Wilkins

He did not have many good NBA years but, at his best, he was top 50-75. So, is it career resume or "at his peak?" I honestly view him more as a GOAT candidate as an NCAA player, along with Kareem.

As a kid of the 80's who hated the Pistons, Bill should be in the Hall of Fame. He was the first center I remeber that would take 3's in an era where people didn't shoot a lot of 3's and make them. Perkins of the Lakers would do it later but Bill was the first player I remember where you had to guard against him just going to the the top of the arch and hitting a 3 against you. I hated him but he was a difference maker in the NBA.

Its not a good comparison MJ is the greatest of his era, put that pressure on that guy could make it fall on desperation and you don't want that or even frustration, so he's a great basketball player and hopes he continues growing but we don't know if he can follow MJ footsteps, that's probably too much

Here is what the "No-Bull" tour is going to have to face: 6 NBA Championships. For every championship they won, they are going to have to explain themselves...and the less the fans will take them seriously. Because it is not going to fly.

Lebron never overcame hes biggest op that is himself, he never completed hes hero arc. Hes story ins't as inspiring as Brids, Kobes, MJs or Hakeems and if it's just basketball for him than at the end of the day he is just a player.

Bill Walton was the leader of the band, a cosmic optimist, always smiling, and, ALWAYS, making others smile… A marvelous basketball player, he was an equally marvelous person, a guy who genuinely cared for others, and made it a point to put them first. ❤

He was so good darn good... probably greatest college player ever... and I say that thinking Jabbar is the greatest NBA player ever. Bill deserved being in the Top 50/75 because he was the best player in the league for 3 seasons right out of college... again not just great, the best player right out of college. Injuries kept him from being the best center or at least one of the best. Loved Bill Walton!

Walton had actual basketball skills (passing, shooting, footwork) that Shaq could only dream of having. He just had bad luck with his feet. It wasn't because he let himself get fat like some big men I could mention.

There was stuff Walton could do that Shaq could only dream about. Bill was more judgmental 25 yrs ago when that footage was taken. The difference was this …. Walton played every minute like it was his last….Shaq would take games, series, even seasons off….because he could. Never practiced foul shooting…NEVER!! That’s why Kobe hated playing with him. I love Shaq but he can’t be objective about his career. He don’t get it!!

2XMVP 2XNBA Champion; NBA Finals MVP; Great attitude, great leader, 6th man & great teammate. BW never had beef with teammates and Shaq, however great a player in prime .... once he got older and heavier, he might as well had injuries to blame, he just had himself to blame while he usually hated on others. There's no BIG MAN code, it's just Shaq's Ego Shade . If you bring in BWs NCAA career, there's no further discussion
