  Again it’s not a proper Japanese garden and you need to realise this , it’s a lovely collection of acers . Look for the basic fundamentals of a true Japanese garden.

  Thank you for this video - I’m interested in growing a Japanese Black Pine and wasn’t sure about the technique for creating the cloud shapes, so this has been useful. I noticed that some of your Acers vary in height and fullness, so I wondered if you use a similar pruning technique to manage their height and shape, or are they just a smaller variety? I’m just starting out with designing a Japanese style garden and yours is an absolute inspiration, so thank you for sharing!

  For stronger screens I use 1/2 inch opaque white greenhouse roofing with wood dividers on both sides. B e h r house paint or opaque deck stain (large selection of woodtone colors) on clear pine.

  I found that Japanese Barberry are Easy Bonsai , they survive the Climate in the Interior of BC.
