Think it's a cedar JGB maybe Cedrus deadora? anyway loving your crafty joinery esp. circle cuts (not always easy) finding solutions is where we find the zen - never stop, your garden is really braw !

Can I do this with an established Acer ?? Any type of wire I shouldn’t use?….. thanks

You can do it with an Acer, just be careful you don’t break the branch if it’s too thick and old. You should use the proper bonsai wire, but copper is a good alternative.

what type of cable do you get brass earth wire in? thanks

Any electric cable should have the earth
