Norman Mailer's comments are hardly relevant today. DeGaulle was an empty shell of a man, not even half deserving of any praise he got, and Castro was a tyrant and dictator.

I'd like to see Jerry Seinfeld and Ray Romano do The Odd Couple. I can see Ray playing Oscar, and Jerry as Felix. But then again, you already had that with "Seinfeld" with Jerry and Kramer.

5:00 Ironically, PBS bleeped out Ginsberg's language. Why ironic? Because in the full interview, the first half hour was Ginsberg making the case that language should not be censored. By the way the phrase Ginsberg used was "f@ggot individualist" (referring to himself). And yes, I had to self-censor with the @-mark because otherwise my comment would likely be deleted. Such is the ret@rded world we live in.

Now I understand why I feel the vibes and the rawness of the show. And why it pops and sizzles, the whole thing is improv.

She sang also at Ike's inaugural in 1957 but of course only FDR and JFK count...it's even said that the inauguration of 1961 was a "sort of a return to the 1939 concert". What about singing for Ike in January 1957?

One Italian here. Always been an avid consumer of Seinfeld's episodes. I loved them totally. I have just to make a couple of remarks. 1.Watching them now I can say they have lost something, meaning that in 1996 there was NO way I'd prefer to watch a new episode of Friends over one of Seinfeld; now though I'm not so sure which one I'd choose if I could get a random episode of one of the two series (maybe the very 90's greyish blue "Seinfeld" photography doesn't help). 2.Never liked the Jerry Seinfeld's bits: neither standing up, nor the filmed ones in the series and I really hate him as an actor, but I really love his writing, that band of four altogether, his more serious speeches about anything and also Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee. What if he had the timing and the delivery of Norm McDonalds?

I think of a friend of mine, Larry Levinson, and the spontaneous, deadpan conversations we would have. _Me: I'm going to watch the Red Sox game. Larry: I used to play baseball. Me: No kidding? Were you good? Larry: I played in the Major Leagues. Me: You did? You seem kind of small to play Major League baseball. What are you, 5'7" and 140 lbs.? Larry: It's deceptive because I'm bigger than how I look. Me: Really? How big are you? Larry: I'm 6'6" and about 230 lbs. Me: You're right, you, are bigger than how you look._ Now, imagine you are in a workplace breakroom and you witness that conversation.

I did feel smarter as a kid watching firing line. But as an older man I can see that Buckleys dead wrongs were a lot more frequent than his rights. All this conservative bullshit that America is subjected to now..that can be traced directly back to Buckley.

Other than the sitcom Seinfeld, there's no other piece of comedic artwork that would separate him from any other one hit wonder. Larry David is more vital to the success they had than Jerry Seinfeld is, but even he didn't ride that wave of success for the rest of his career while doing nothing else. He created another series that arguably is the best comedy series in history. Seinfeld made the bee movie.

Many times I see lists of the top 20 or top 50 drummers of all time. But Max Roach is not included. Then I proceed to shake my head and laugh. Max was not only a phenomenal drummer but a musician, artist real influencer and social leader. But he is not included in the Top 50 "drummers" of all time😂
