Netflix is now removing movies and shows..and with no physical media it disappears. I have recently bought a Laserdisc player and finding all sorts of gems that aren't anywhere on streaming and never got a DVD or Blu-Ray release. I have the original theatrical release of the star wars films. I also collect animation cels for much of the same reasons.

This is one of my favorite movies. I interpret the ending of the film as the release of the true emotions and true nature of both Pierre and Severine. Pierre considered Severine a goddess and an angel. She was cold, but also elegant, sophisticated, a lady and a little girl at the same time. That's why Pierre was respectful and gentle with her. This attitude was not entirely due to his nature, but rather to excessive respect for his idealized wife. Pierre's true instincts were also suppressed by convention and religion. This is especially visible in the scene when he looks with admiration at Husson, who was a declared sinner and a bon vivant. When Husson exposed Severine's true nature, he also freed Pierre from the obligation to show excessive respect to his "holy Catholic wife". They were both freed from playing the roles in marriage that religion and bourgeois society imposed on them. That's why they are both happy because they can finally be themselves and reveal their true nature. They can finally fulfill their fantasies, including sexual ones. They can finally be happy.

I'm of the opinion that if corporations don't preserve their stuff and it gets lost, they should lose all copyright of said thing. Those lost Doctor Who episodes should especially tick people off--the BBC is funded by taxpayer dollars. The citizenry paid for that to be made, and it got thrown away. But if someone who did a more capable job than the BBC--and actually preserved it--comes forward, the BBC gets first dibs on it. Why? They didn't take care of it and tossed it out.

Thank you for your interpretation! Santa Sangre is an outstanding film. I strongly disagree with rating it as a horror movie. It is gory, indeed, but it is a genuine art. I am among those who find the scene with the fake ear unfitting. It was interesting to hear what Jodorovski had to say about it. The music should be mentioned, too. It has a huge part in the impact of the movie. IMHO, the Bible reference at the end was exceedingly important and added another layer of meaning.

I know someone already commented on this but NO Stanley Kubrick did not direct the Moon Landing since for one thing if you’ve actually seen a Stanley Kubrick film the footage would hold on an uncomfortably long time, as well as Kubrick focusing more on the atmosphere rather than the actual person

I think you may be reaching a little to disprove his point. Original Peter Parker was simply the *least impressive* Spiderman in Across the Spider-verse. Taking 2nd place to Miles would have made sense, but pushing him so far down felt strange. As if they were purposely keeping his coolness in check. That was Critical Drinker's point. He's the "real" Spiderman in "our" universe, but was made into a joke.

Criticism of Red White and Blue, it's a modern day movie, why is she driving a Chevy Chevette, now I will assume most people here aren't car people so let me explain why that is weird, the car is 40 years old, and they're barely any left now. Like you're telling me the filmmakers couldn't get a old Toyota Camry, a Pontiac Grand Am, you know a believable cheap car for the 2020s
