Just as a datapoint, I’m still on a launch day iPhone 12 Pro and wirelessly charge overnight on most days, and the over all degradation doesn’t seem like that huge of a deal
Ah yes let me trust one man on the internet from a repair company over the phone companies that pay thousands of engineers 100k+ salaries testing these parameters. Battery health at 100% still after 200 cycles.
Nah Used 2280 lexar
I'm happy enough with my B&W PX8. But a new contender is always more than welcome.
Used this video twice (liked it the first time, subscribed just now). Great video thank you
T-minus 6 days till I get my steam deck (finally pulled the trigger!) replacing the 512gb SSD for a 1 TB , then using a 1 TB micro SD. Overkill, I know. But hey 🤷. Thanks for the tutorial, it looks simple enough...😅
Alright, I'm buying Surface! Bye bye MacBook!
Awesome & Thanks :)
Gotta apploud Microsoft here. It should be like this with every company...
With wired charging the charging port becomes damaged and your phone will no longer charge and you have to buy a new phone :)
So ein ki fake 😂😂😂 und alle fallen auf dieses :Dummchen rein …
Super cool indeed
I won't buy this Apple product after seeing 2:18 😭
That Tesla pad is probably why ditched AirPower. Too many coils and no alignment.
What a turnaround from Microsoft! These devices looks so good - and you can pop in a 1 TB SSD easy. Thank you for helping build Right 2 Repair pressure iFixit!
Thanks to Ifixit for sharing this
Big props to Microsoft for the laptop, but I think the 8 on the tablet is too generous with the screen the still glued down. "Everyone does it" is not a good excuse and it never will be.
Ooh finally i got this video. I want to change my iPhone se 3rd gn. Black Front panel and replace white panel. Can i get succeed. 😢😢😢
Finally, an easily repairable tablet! Not gluing down the battery is a huge win here.
Truly said
Dude, my battery is almost never BELOW 30c, since when is it supposed to be so cold. I havent had a phone operate that cool in over a decade. And i usually get 4+yrs out of my phones
Simple job? Are you joking I’d gladly pay to have this done
If there is no netwoerk
what about the screen assembly on the Laptop 7? Screens can be repaired when they have fault on their motherboards and they are very hard to work with because they are fragile and difficult to separate from the shell..
I just don't get it. How hard is it to just... plug your phone in?
PS Edge has removable stick modules, but they are never in stock making the edge controller's removable stick modules completely useless lol
What is centigrade!!?????
Amazing guide. But 2ah iPhone lithium battery ain’t exploding in anyone’s face lol. And 24% discharged not much difference
Surface is way better than others
5:22 Sounds like the perfect insult to a Klingon
I will say the slim definitely seems easier compared to the older one which was a pain in the butt, only thing that bothers me is how much the heatsink considerably shrunk.
Nice job Microsoft! I like the changes. Now I am just waiting for upgradeable ram and CPUs in devices like these and I am sold. In the mean time I will hang onto my five year old tablet and keep using my regular nice and upgradeable laptop. (Too bad I can't upgrade the cpu or gpu. Whatever, change is slow.)
Imagine Linus Torvalds trying to sell Linux with a custom PC he makes. I think Microsoft should support existing ARM hardware, like those guys who made it run on a Lumia Phone, or that other attempt for Raspberry. Both sucked because no drivers. That's where Microsoft should help.
This saves my time and money
awesome to see Microsoft doing this, what a upgrade!!!!
that antenna on iphone 15 pro 5g is removable because i seen people unplug it only ever be fused to motherboard with iphone 12 mini.
on the international models. not American model.
that phone im getting at the end of august
Wow, they are surprisingly servicable devices. I didn't expect this for an outcome.
They even write which screwdriver you need? Just reminded me of a certain company developing new screws just to screw us over! (good one!)
VELCRO (tm) is not a low tech option. it's a space program development.
The pretentious over annunciation spilling out of this person's mouth is hard to listen to, way to ruin a video.
where is the air intake vent located?
3:43 isn't it Micron RAM? You mentioned SK Hynix
Correct, these are Micron! The Surface Pro uses SK Hynix. You can find a link to the full chip ID’s at the bottom of the blog post: www.ifixit.com/News/96998/from-0-10-to-8-10-microsoft-puts-repair-front-and-center
It sure is. The Micron logo is clearly visible. The 'model' numbers on the chips doesn't give me anything on Micron's part finder, but it most likely is a customized version specifically for Microsoft, or simply branded as such.
I never really understood the whole wireless charging craze personally. Glad I wasn’t just behind the times or something…
Lmao wtf is 30°C immediate dislike
I believe those DRAM chips are Micron DRAM...
General questions, would having foam or some sort of soft material inside the headphones around the driver, improve bass or sound audio? Or even decrease music bleed?
Good to see more players really getting into repairability like this.
Great news! It’s going the right way
