The crowd just standing around is not really the vibe in Tokyo, but the vibe of this band's audience. Imo they haven't reached the right people yet and are still mostly in the metal girl band bubble. They played some shows where there was a bit more movement, but it's not much compared to some other bands. Even other girl bands like HANABIE.

Yeah looking forward to Lovebites. Nemophila have a lot of variety and most of it hits for me. I'm not so big on their couple of ballads, but everything else is amazing. Mayu's cleans and semi cleans are 10/10. She hasn't got my absolute favourite uncleans, but they are up there. And when you combine her cleans and uncleans she is my favourite vocalist overall. You have SO many Japanese bands to get to, plus the rest of the world. Good f**king luck!

There are some intense moshing in Japan. Maximum the Hormone and Babymetal for example have a lot of pits in their concerts.

In the Japanese crowds in venues like this they are very reserved and kinda stay in their own seats they will often fanchant and have horns in the air but it would be a rare site to see moshing. I think you would see that in the more underground scene. Just a different kind of vibe and concert culture. I recommend their new song G.O.D. or the live version of AMA-TE-RAS.

Haha, just as we thought. Titled "BEST J-METAL BAND SO FAR!" you attract all the Lovebites fanatics who can't stand it when another band is called the best J-Metal band. However, Nemophila and many other Japanese metal bands are way better than Lovebites with their boring old school stuff. If you want to hear some really creative metal from one of Japan's most influential metal bands, you can't go past Maximum The Hormone.

The best J-Metal band together with Hanabie and Maximum The Hormone, the three are on the same level for me and then in fourth place are the also very good Dexcore. You get the best J-Rock with the band BRATS. If you want to get to know Maximum The Hormone, one of the most influential Japanese metal bands, you should start with their music video for the song Yoshu Fukushu. For Dexcore I recommend the song Skindeep. And for BRATS, either Ms. Downer or the experimental Spiderweb.

Hanabie are just brilliant. Together with Nemophila and Maximum The Hormone the best that Japanese metal has to offer. Please be sure to stick with it, Hanabie's songs are all so different that you are guaranteed to never get bored. If you want to hear an older song with lots of tempo and style changes I can recommend L.C.G and if you want to hear their Wall Of Death song, which also features Chika on the drums for the first time, check out the Tousou (Run Away) music video .

I love Nemophila. They are in my top 3 favourite bands of all time. But if by "best" you mean most musically talented, then ... nope. That description belongs to LOVEBITES, a Japanese all-female classic metal band. In terms of musicianship, I put LOVEBITES in the top three metal bands of all time, along with Dream Theater and Symphony-X. However, if by "best" you just mean "your favourite", then obviously no one can argue with your subjective preference. Anyway, if you like metal, and especially if you like the legendary metal bands of the 80s and early 90s (Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Helloween, Megadeth, (Early) Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax, Testament etc, then you must check out LOVEBITES. Hanabie are just brilliant. Together with Nemophila and Maximum The Hormone the best that Japanese metal has to offer. Please be sure to stick with it, Hanabie's songs are all so different that you are guaranteed to never get bored. If you want to hear an older song with lots of tempo and style changes I can recommend L.C.G and if you want to hear their Wall Of Death song, which also features Chika on the drums for the first time, check out the Tousou (Run Away) music video .

In terms of musicianship, I put LOVEBITES in the top three metal bands of all time, along with Dream Theater and Symphony-X. However, if by "best" you just mean "your favourite", then obviously no one can argue with your subjective preference.
