Cool video, thank you! Such visual presentations make learning anatomy easier. Yoga teacher here, internal rotation of the hip is useful in many asanas, for example firefly pose (tittibhasana) or flying splits (hurdler's pose, eka pada koundinyasana).
Thank you for this video. Table tennis - also use internal rotation .
thank you so much!
That was fantastic! Great job!! I look forward to your upcoming external rotation video 🙏
thanks so much for letting me know! have a good one!
love it❤❤
happy you like it! have a good one!
The lats little helper.
it sure is!
As been mentioned abive having the pelvic floor shown, and how the vertical alignment of the diaphragm and pelvic floor cause a piston effect.
Ice hockey goalies do this ALOT to the point it creates a real imbalance. Great video and animations. Really concise quality content, greatly appreciated 🙌
thank you so much, for the hockey that’s a really good one!
@@AnatomyLab Happy to help, keep up the good work. 🫡
I learned throgh Julien Pineult of strongfit that the initial lifting of stones is internal rotation when the knee is flexed. Im going off memory so i could be wrong.
that sounds right to me! thx you for sharing!
@@AnatomyLab no worries thanks for these videos
@@AnatomyLab he has a movement theory where he maps basically all human movement theory internal or external rotation. Of the hips or shoulders. Again I could be bastardizing it but have a look if you're interested
thanks so much never heard about this… have a good one,
💙💙
sehr gut
Danke sehr
excellent
IT'S THE KING OF THE ADDUCTORS!!💪
I believe internal rotation is trained in martial arts/karate. When chambering your kicks, especially the sidekick.
you re absolutely right! you re a legend thx!
Interal and external rotations are essential in all the movements involved in a change of direction and of weight distribution when the human body is walking or running or jumping or kicking, which is very frequent in sports like soccer, tennis, football, rugby, basketball, volleyball and so on...... Not to mention martial arts and fighting in general.
Golf & horseback riding too!
you guys are legends! thx so much!
Iliac and psoas muscles are involved in internal rotation too, mostly when it is combined with the hip flection.
very clear and well detailed....Another useful video...thank you..🤗
thank you so much!
Here are a couple cases for training internal rotation: - Lateral movement for most sports, IR is crucial to push sideway into the floor without overloading the lateral aspect of the knee, so I know it's trained for football, soccer, hockey etc - martial arts - for most side and rear kicks, it's crucial to lift the shin and align it in the kicking direction, think about a high side kick - acrobatics and gymnastics, for twisting and rotated takeoffs and landing, a lack of IR can quickly lead to reduced jumping ability or injury in the knees when landing - deep squatting, especially for Olympic weightlifting - specifically ice hockey and the deep stance Hope this gives some inspiration and happy to answer any questions
thank you so much! if I make a follow up I’ll incorporate this! you have re the man!
Another case for obtaining internal rotation. Many patients I have worked with who have had major knee surgeries, such as ACL reconstruction, will often lose some degree of internal rotation because of a walking pattern that develops to lessen pain whilst performing various tasks. Including simple tasks such as walking and climbing stairs. This is a typical compensation pattern for the patient and internal rotation is necessary to address for them.
Danke für das tolle Video🙏🙏🦋🦋
Sehr gerne 🤗 😉
Great
thx for letting me know! I appreciate it!
You're literally a life saver for broke artists like me, I'm infinitely thankful for the content you create 🙏
you re welcome! glad I can help, trust me I know broke as well- you ll find a way!
When I pivot inside and outside I am training pivot rotation. When we grapevine legs in bjj we are in an inside and outside pivot rotation battle. When battling footlock there is some of this.
ohh I see that s a good one! thanks so much for pointing this out! keep grinding!
@@AnatomyLab Grinding is the word for it. Pivoting is a grind on the knee. Wonder if it is good or bad for me...
could be bad for the knee, but being a warrior is good for the soul,..
Great content! Does iliacus have any involvement as a stabiliser for hip extension? For example when you’re doing hip thrusts and focus on the posterior pelvic tilt..
that’s very interesting, gotta think! hvala!
More of this
there is more of this! watch the whole series on my channel! have a good one
Fix this muscle and others to fix flat feet.
I think this muscle really cramps up my foot. Need a good foot massage.
Thank you ! Just found your channel 🙏🏾❤
you are welcome! glad you like them!
crap
thanks for the constructive feedback!
Namaste my bony friend 😊
namaste 💀
Thank you very much for this amazing video. It would be great to have a video that shows the movement of the internal organs, as well as the coordinated movement of the lower diaphragm and the chest diaphragm, will visually demonstrate how breathing and movement occur. This will provide a clearer understanding of processes such as pelvic congestion, the development of varicose veins, and diseases of the female reproductive system. One of the root causes of these conditions is a disruption in the breathing cycle.
Ur video very helpful sir
thx!!!!
Very good sir🎉 very especially learn
thank you!
😂moon walking out of the picture Cool idea. Great demonstration 🥇
glad you enjoyed it!

Amazing! Beautiful visual and Clarified description! Keep it up! :)
Love this video and animations. So helpful!!

it’s an old video,.. the new ones have it,..
@@AnatomyLab ohhh thanku you for responde
Excellent 👌 superb .....i subscribed your channel
Hello! I love your videos! Is it too much to ask for ranges of motion in degrees that go with primary movers? It really helps when we need to enlighten people we train at the gym to reduce risks of injury from over-flexion/ extension/ hyper-extension/ rotation/ lateral bends. Thank You! Great work! Keep it up! 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
I have this in the newer video, back then I couldn’t do it,.. anyway thanks for commenting and have a good one!
We all going to die 😢
that is indeed true, but before that we get to be alive,..

glad you like it!
My medical xray is slightly elevated right hemidiapragm how to inhale properly
great animation with very comprehensible information! thank you 🤩
Great vid
How is this muscle helping in flexion? If it contracts according to this diagram it causes extension
Why is walking so complicated? I never knew i was bad at walking until I’m 44. Seems like it’s important. Instead they just say “shoulder’s back” as if that makes any sense at all. Meanwhile you either have an injury or are on your way to having one all because nobody teaches you to walk. We all just figure it out and nobody actually knows what good posture MEANS!
thanks so much for this comment indeed walking is rather complicated if you try to understand every single by itself. well my shot at good is the following. Your joints and bones should be in alignment so they fit your natural Pre-depositions and your muscles should be able to relax and contract equally. If you are in the state and you walk up right and try to push the sky away with your head and you lift your stwernum and you have your sacrum in a somewhat neutral position, depending on your pelvis and hip bone structure you should be fine. Have a good one and thanks for commenting again.
Beautiful
thanks so much for your kind comment and supporting the channel. Have a good day.
Beautifully done, ty very much! It would be nice if you toggled off the muscles to see just the bones and included it in the video but I'ma check your channel to see if I can find just the bones 😁
are you right? That would be nice unfortunately KZread doesn’t support this feature but thank you again for commenting and supporting the channel.
Your work help me understand a atomy more thankyou sir
