These two birds gave more to their own eggs,then some humans, I miss watching gghem, our Eagles from Glacier gardens in Juneau Alaska did not lay eggs yet, this year, weather bad, and no food, building near nest not sure why,but this was a hard year for us Eagle lovers

This is my first year watching Jackie and Shadow. Is it normal for them to continue returning to the nest after the eggs are gone?
Yes - but usually not this frequently in early Spring. They've used this nest since 2018, I think.

This is a transactional relationship. It works as long as it serves each individual partner's needs. Nature is not all that loving and emotional as we humans are. They are losing their habitat and that is a shame and a pox on us for allowing development within their range. This pair has chosen a tough territory to occupy. They are at a high altitude and get hit with much bad weather. It is a lovely area, but a very difficult and unpredictable one. Better luck for their next clutch.

No help for the hatchling from parents.. siblings just fight over plenty like greedy pigs. Hatchling has so much potential.. yet is ignored by everyone even camera operators sitting in the very confort the Eaglets, afford them. So sorry on so many levels. . Sorry world, with sorry overseers. 😤 R.I.P, little hatchling. 🙏❤️
Hello?. I wonder what level of consciousness is required to run these cameras?. Must not be much.. I wonder if the sponsors know how many they allow to needlessly suffer& die?? How sick & cruel of those who record & do nothing time after time.. Guess that's what is required to run the camera.. More like " Do nothing with My life." Great job doing nothing! 👎
Great.. thanks to lazy humans another Death tragedy happened to a late hatchling. Very low to sit hourly, consciously watching, condoning the suffering of a baby. Its grossly neglectful anywhere in The World. We don't need more like you around. You do nothing. You allow lose & greed to continue.

O. M. G. The third egg hatched! This is both wonderful & A Tragedy. The two much older Eaglets will surely out compete and starve it to death! That's if one of them doesn't kill it first! It's very unfair & most unfortunate. We as higher beings must step in to save it's precious life. No baby deserves to suffer!!!

Beautiful to see Jackie and Shadow together as an eagle couple. In eight or nine months, we will eagerly watch them again every day :)
It took Jackie more than 48 hours to return. I don't think she was 'mad' at her eggs. She certainly is able to intuit that she 'lost a round' against nature. By bringing more sticks and cracking the egg shells, she is preparing for a new try. I am certain she was sad, maybe fearful; nature had just dealt her a blow. But her actions are on target. She is preparing for the next round. This would include, it seems, the removal of an obvious presence of unhatched eggs. Flattened, cracked shells are an outward sign of being willing to 'move on', to try again next winter.
I hope that the last one to hatch makes it as it's a few days behind the other two.
Me too he’s already getting buried during feedings from the other two
Sadly, he died the next day. I was hoping he’d make it, but he didn’t get fed on Sunday and it was around 79F. Apparently was not able to get any shade, became dehydrated, and got out of the nest bowl. Fell over and had a seizure. 😢
