Masienda

Welcome to our channel, thanks for stopping by!

A little bit about us:

In 2014, we set out on an earnest search for a corn tortilla with exceptional flavor and integrity. Our quest took us to Oaxaca, Mexico, where we met farmers whose families have been cultivating traditional maize for centuries. It was there that we experienced our first perfect, true tortilla.

Today, Masienda proudly partners with hundreds of traditional farmers to grow, source and offer the highest quality single-origin ingredients for both Heirloom Whole Kernel Corn and Heirloom Masa Harina. We continue to collaborate with chefs to develop in-house, specialty masa programs for their restaurants, while also working to create thoughtful resources, tools and value-added products to lead a new standard for masa quality, preparation and consumption.

With this channel we hope to help spread our corn and masa expertise for all to enjoy!

You're not seasoning the comal, you are curing it to be used.

Really appreciate your products. As a home cook, having access to quality ingredients is essential. I've probably made thousands of tortillas from your masa harina at this point. We order the white by the 55 lb bag. Great job. Continue to grow, but please don't forget us little guys. ;) Congratulations on all of your success!

These look mouthwatering! Last year, one of my high school culinary students made huevos rancheros for us, using her grandfather recipe. Everything was made from scratch, and she had to call “Popo” a couple of times with questions, but the results were outstanding!!! She didn’t just share a recipe with us that day. She shared a family memory. 💖

we usually always heated them directly on the stove burners. that said, my favorite method now is heating them on the comal over medium-low heat with a glass lid & flipping them occasionally until done. this keeps them beautifully moist & soft.
