There’s absolutely nothing in this I would eat, but then again I’m not a backpacker. I’m a camper so I would be opted for freeze dried meals.
Totally unrelated, where did you get your couch? I want it! :D
Really enjoy your solo trips!
Appreciate the reminder and honestly y’all had so much fun I just stopped looking for long hikes and started looking for shorter ones. Thank you!
I’ve been getting more and more into camping / backpacking and this channel has been such a great resource for knowledge and just fun as hell to watch! Cheers keep the videos coming 🙆🏻♂️🙆🏻♂️🙆🏻♂️
Blessings to you. You did the thing nobody can blame you.
Tinkle Belle is my fav pee device. I keep one in my vehicle always and with me on walks/hikes. The thump tabs are what make it easy while keeping your pants up😅
It’s a game changer if you place your tent under a tarp overhang. No direct contact from night moisture landing on top of your tent will significantly warm your room.
Yeah, Garage Grown Gear. Like that company
I really appreciate you being yourself and embracing all (including us that aren't the thin ones on the trail). Your videos helped us so much as well as being confident enough to go into REI. Going to be so happy to rep your swag when it comes in!
What app did she use for her map?

Most beautiful and humble video I’ve seen in a long time! I’ve been on the hunt to purchase my first water filter for backpacking. After looking at reviews and features, I was leaning toward buying a platypus. This video with the companies, ethics and generosity, I will definitely be getting a Sawyer squeeze!
I don't know
Hello Miranda, love your videos and your knowledge of gear. Would you happen to have a pack you would recommend trying for someone who has had 5 abdominal surgeries? I have backpacked a lot over the years and started the AT last year, returned twice this year and all three times have had to come off due to abdominal pain leading to vomiting due to the waist band pressure on the gut. With the 1000's of miles I have previously hiked internationally, I have never carried a bear can or food for 3-5 days...yes I know the bear can is heavy; however, I feel saver with it and I don't have to deal with food bag hangs, even though that might happen in oder to compete the AAT next year. Thank you in advance for any tips you may have. :) Wendy
where is Nala? i have been away from your channel and been trying to look for your account but luckily i found you 😍
For overnights I like my Trangia system with the gas canister insert. When we, the wife and I, hike/backpack, weekends Fri-Sun, I really like my JetBoil Solo (can't get anymore), my wife and I share this one stove and we use the stove to hydrate a meal that we share and as we are sharing that we get another ready with another boil. Also sometimes we like to saute and I'll just use a pan on the base and use the fuel flow control adjustments to give us what we need. BTW I do carry a bug out bag in my car, which I have a Toaks pot and a pocket rocket, I've played around with it and it's not bad, but I prefer the JetBoil. I never got it due to price, but I'm sure I would love the MSR WindBruner as well. I guess I'll always go for an integrated system. Thanks Miranda!
I now inflate my sleeping pad before every trip to check - after a winter trip just recently in which I got to camp and found the valve had cracked and the mat would hold NO air. It was a cold and hard night sleep!
Can you use sea salt or does it have to be table salt for the electrolyte mix?
Love your energy ❤!👍
Do I have a kid? No. Will I ever have a child? No. Did I watch the whole video? Absolutely 😅😅😅
Would u ever take your cat backpacking ? I would love to see that😅
I might make this exact one my first, since I live in Miranda’s birth state. Will add a dog to make it harder on me 😅😅😅 love your videos they have help and will continue to help when I’m out there.❤
Well done for being honest and being human. I have to admit I feel like that most days but I always keep it to myself. You're the better person. Thank you.
This looked like a wonderful hike and camping trip with friends. Looks so relaxing and laid back too. Can't think of a better way to spend an overnighter.
I believe what you are referring to as "Arms" are called "Temples." The "Arms" are the small part that attaches the nose pads to the frame that can be adjusted to stay on your face. Some cool hacks. Remove phone before ironing, a great idea too.
Abby, I love your panic attack box with sensory stuff! What's the Anthony Bourdain quote if you don't mind sharing <3
When passing people, put on your billy bob teeth (don't be fooled by cheap imitations.) And give 'em nice country grin! Creeks become Criks, and your new dialect will develop naturally all thanks to authentic Billy Bob custom backwoods dentures.
For fun… not for a good idea 😂
Love these diy videos.... keep em coming!
What trailhead did you start at?
also for British army the jet boil fits in our webbing
Super love trips like this !!
To add flavors and a bit of sweetness use flavored stevia drops…yum!

I thought the Flexlite chair was weak and unstable and I was sure it wouldn't last but it has been great for the past 3 years.

Great video and looked like you all had a lot of fun! Thank you for sharing it with us. I have a question about your sleeping pad. Is the Nemo Tensor All-Season pad as crinkly and noisy as the Tensor Insulated pad? I have one of those and it is SO noisy that it kept my neighbor campers awake the last time I used it. I was very restless, due to the altitude, and it sounded like I was rolling around on a giant bag of potato chips!
I did almost the exact same thing with a pair of sunglasses after seeing that people like armless ones! I feel so happy that she did it too
"being able to have water pretty much the entire time" you should come hike in the great lakes!!
Miranda, have you seen the North Face Trail Lite?
I love that you didn't crap out and pick one. I use an alcohol stove, a BRS, a Primus Lite+, or my Blackstone depending on the type of trip and sometimes no stove at all if I'm cooking over a fire. It's all about the trip and needs. Thanks!!
Need a Tucker + Pride sticker!
I limit fires to stopping hypothermia.. I do use a stove to cook.
I like to play the role of camp dad when camping/backpacking/hiking and ensure that everyone I go with has a good time so i feel comfortable with carrying a little extra weight. After trying some camping stove options, I opted for the SUMO Jet Boil with their Grande Coffee Press last year and I've been in love with it! The best part is I can fit the fuel, coffee press equipment (and coffee), and a small cleaning towel all inside the Jet Boil. It's actually a pretty sick setup.
I'm curious what that app is that shows you where campsites are on the trail?
Very Nice content in this video like always.mavy you could chow how you Edit stuff to.
my first backpacking trip was when i was a kid, probably ten-ish, and i decided to wear my converse. despite my dad telling me i would regret it, i still wore them, and i did indeed regret it. im actually going back on that trail this weekend with my dad about 7 years later with real hiking shoes
