  Hi Brian, you spoke at the end about you loving your experience in broadcast journalism. I want to become a sports broadcaster (the next stephen a smith). can you please talk about your experience in broadcast journalism and some things that are key in order to make it in that business. I am a freshman in college by the way and i’m on my college radio station and hosting a podcast. I’m also hopefully volunteering with the Brooklyn Nets this fall and working with college newspaper as well.   Very good advice. I’m 55, getting ready to go back to school to get my bachelors of Business degree in Sports Marketing and Media. I’ve done a little of everything, including create my own company working as an independent media outlet. At this age, the degree for me is more about personal achievement, learning more about business and being able to take younger professionals who want to work with sports and entertainment and give them an opportunity as part of my team. Any advice for me?

  Brian, I have a question. What is the best way from going from part-time game-day staff Jobs to full-time roles? For example I have part-time jobs working guest relations at the Carolina Panthers/Charlotte FC games, another at the Charlotte Hornets stadium, and one at the local parks and recreation. However, I've been doing them for two years and need something that is full-time career. Also, it took me a long time to finish school but I do have a bachelor's degree in sports management and a master's in sport and fitness administration at age 30. I'm also a more reserved person so sales/marking wouldn't be my best bet.

  I was recently selected for my 2nd internship in sports for this summer. With a huge nationally recognized brand. My problem is, the internship is offering $30 an hour and i dont want to go back to the wages i earn now from my job. My case is specific. My internship is with the same company that i work full time for (for less money than the internship). Any tips on landing a full time job within the company or increasing my chances of landing a ful time role post internship.

  Just to add, my full time role now is min wage on the retail side. The internship pays double, and I know once I make that for 3 months I'm not going to want to go back. Just trying to plan for the future
