If Denmark were a better team, they'd have roasted the English guys

Level headed analysis which supports the improved performance against Brasil. That said, I personally can’t stand Berhalter. His “tactics” of directionless possession are a sham. Yet he has the santos cojones to publicly shame his players instead of owning his mistakes.
@campfirefootball9 күн бұрын
Thank you for the feedback. And I understand your view of Berhalter. I find the US to be way to predictable in most games. And anything good comes from the endeavor of individuals, which is normal for the International game. Teams don't play silky football, not even the best. They are solid, well balanced, and they let their good players make things happen. I personally don't care one way or another if Berhalter is in charge or not. I like a lot of the players and that's good enough for me. The coaches of national teams aren't as interesting because they can't really imprint a style on a team, and nor should they.
@DEJRRMA9 күн бұрын
@@campfirefootball We are in agreement. I don’t expect NT managers to be like CT managers. Furthermore, I also think that international performances hinge more on individuals. As such, if you as GB insist on continuing approach of the USAMNT over the past 8+ years, one that restricts and limits individual creativity for the better of the system’s performance (in theory), you should publicly shoulder the blame. Don’t hang your players out to dry. It’s cowardly. It’s why I can’t stand Tuchel. In all fairness, my problem with him, I think, is compounded by (a) his previous tenure (b) his successor’s tenure (c) the federation’s search for a new coach (how long was it again?) to correct the aforementioned only to end up with GB in charge again
@campfirefootball7 күн бұрын
@@DEJRRMA 100% agree. On all counts. It feels like the “team identity” and style of play don’t quite match and never really have in the GB era. This Copa America will be very interesting. The team is good enough to make some noise, but I doubt they will make it to the semi final.
