07/06/24 I subscribed to your channel some time ago because I have wanted to learn to sew but I didn't have a machine. I have been given a Singer machine from the 50's that belonged to a friend that passed away. It's supposed to be in working condition so I hope to start using it soon.

This is very nice 👌 it would make a very nice toiletry bag with a few alterations main alteration being the zipper being across the top possibly a double zipper with a pull strap to open or close.Would be an interesting project for a toiletry bag for us guys for vacations

I have been fighting with threading the needle for years. I guess it would have helped to pay attention to the video, and the manual. Thank you for providing the tutorial that included the automatic needle threader. Yes, old dogs can learn new tricks...through reading and watching.

This tutorial was great to follow but somewhere I've made a few mistakes. I shortened the lining when I pinned everything to go around the edges and I've not caught the zipper properly either end. But nevermind I'll try again tomorrow!

How much of a flap do you leave for these inner serged seams? For example, I have a curved inner seam of a tunic top that is 5/8". I serged it, but it is still 5/8" and is rather "flappy." It looks pretty good, but would you recommend just running it through a second time right up against the outer seam? I am just nervous because it is curved and feeding it through is tricky.

Just got a Brother 1034D. And have watchhed numerous videos on itt, most on threading. Yours is the first to show the lower looper thread going over the upper looper thread before pulling it back under the foot. Is there a reason for this? The manual does not give that much detail. Does this give a better stitch pattern? Just wondering. Any information is helpful to me as I am just learning how to use this machine. As a former nursing educator - you did a wonderful job on this video, very clear and easy to understand.

You rock! Thank you so much for this vid Question- if one thread runs out, do you have to rethread all four threads in the correct order? I was able to rethread 'green' and continue serging, but when 'blue' ran out I didnt get it right and ended up pulling out all 4 threads and rethreading. 😮
