Good stuff as always Phil. Are you vlogging with the Pocket 3? I notice that it is tracking your motion. Does the pocket 3 zoom in or does it only track side to side? My ZV-E1 does the auto-tracking as well but it also auto-frames which I hate. I want the camera to just auto-track without zooming in to a medium shot. I'm not sure If I'm making any sense.

I totally get you Noi ;) As far I tried things out it only tracks side to side, which it does great, since it's a moving gimbal. You can zoom in manually while recoding, when you have the app open, but image doesn't look great on that digital zoom, because of the one inch sensor. Otherwise this one inch sensor is great. Saw some video where I was blown away how much you can get out of this thing, when a pro use it (even Peter Mckinnon has one video shot only on the Osmo Pocket 3 and looks great). I have some plans using this Pocket 3 as a vlog setup while shooting street photography. The size is perfect for me to be kinda stealthy. I just need the courage and time to do so :D Thanks as always for tuning in my friend! :)

@@IntrovertAmateur I know what you mean. When I'm out in public I feel so self-conscious when shooting. I find that if you make a serious and focused face when you're doing it people usually leave you alone or don't mind. I'm actually not joking for once about this haha. They just assume you're either an artist or you're shooting for work and not being a creep which makes sense, because I usually treat people who casually take pictures a lot differently than I treat people who I think are doing it as a job. I might make a video about this topic actually :P Also thanks for the info about the pocket 3. I might get it based on what you've told me. I want to record my fitness but the stupid ZV-E1 keeps zooming in and I don't want that. I just want it to track me without the zoom. I wonder if there's an option to lock it that I don't know about. It's actually pretty cool sometimes though. It's very natural. For your case I think it would look better than how the pocket 3 handles framing. It's pretty dynamic and feels like there's someone behind the camera. I'll post a vlog soon showing it.

@@noisackda2564 I would love to a video from you about that topic :) You do have a straight poker face while vlogging and if I wouldn’t know you through YT I would be scared speaking to you 😂 To be honest I literally came home from a short street pov vlog, where I used the Pocket 3 while walking through my town. Definitely prefer this setup compared to the ZVE1, which I also had, but never used it for vlogging because of anxiety 😅 But sure the image quality is not the same level, but it’s more then enough for me. And today I recorded on Dlog 10bit - let’s see if I can do something with it. I just hope I didn’t messed up the audio again 😅 I think the Pocket 3 will be a great addition to your kit. If you are interested in it I recommend to get the creative combo kit, where your get the wireless mic, the extended battery and the 15mm equivalent lens adapter 😉 Looking forward for your next video 👍😊

@@IntrovertAmateur you know when I vlog with the right mindset it always works out best. I keep in the back of my head that it's just a job. Of course, I don't know how others around me feel but if I'm mentally able to block it out I think people around me take me more seriously as well. There's a difference between someone vlogging like they are creating content vs someone out filming people like a creep lol. I remember in particular the Fuji XE4 POV vlog I did. I was very focused and serious about taking good shots and people were not bothered at all. I think they could see in my face that I wasn't out being a pervo haha. I have a great pokerface but I think a pokerface might be a little creepy. I would say bring out the focused face lol. Like you are doing math in your head all the time.

I know it can be depressing when you get negative comments but, believe me, ignore the guys who have nothing constructive to say. If they think your shots are mediocre then they should offer advice. People saying your stuff sucks and probably jealous because you have a great town to use as a photographic backdrop, you use really nice cameras and you are starting to build a following. I'm a Sony guy so I'm all about the autofocus. The only manual lenses I have are my anamorphics and I bought a Helios lens but I don't use them much since I'm a peasant vlogger. And that lesson is painful, specially on film, since you pay for that mistake literally :D. Thank you for your support as always Noi! :)

Hi guys, I have an old Leica M9 that I bought new but recently I realized (after some time not shooting with it) that the sensor is completely blown away, all photos are blacked out with stripes everywhere. I contacted Leica by email and the only solution they gave to me is "buy a new one"... for what? buying another thing that will be useless after 10 years? Anybody has any idea if there is any other option? any place where maybe I can get a replacement or fix? Thanks!

  • @IntrovertAmateur
    @IntrovertAmateur5 күн бұрын

Sorry to hear that! Unfortunately Leica doesn’t produce any parts for the M9 anymore. That’s why they say they don’t repair it. At this point you have several options, which unfortunately will cost you a significant amount of money. I’m not sure where you are from, but in Germany and other countries like the US Leica has an alternative program after the cost free repair. Here Leica offers for every M9 with corroded sensor a discount of 30% on specific models like the M11, M11P, M11 Mono, SL2 etc. The current list you can ask the Leica customer service of your specific country. Alternatively you can try to find an independent camera shop in your region which repairs Leica cameras and here specific the Leica M9. As I mentioned there are no new parts produced now, but repair shops do take functional sensors from spare parts M9 bodies to repair corroded M9 cameras. Depending on your region this can cost you around 1000$. In Germany I got an offer for 900€. Hope this somehow helpful for you.

Another technique you can try is standing still while setting the lens to a fixed distance (2-3m) and wait for people to move into that, and just before that use burst mode (with electronic shutter so you don't make any noise). You will have enough keepers and eventually you may not even need to look into the LCD/EVF, which will make it much more discreet.

Seeing how neighbourhoods looked in the old days and how much they have changed, how people dressed and how much fashions have changed. Yet some people object to having photographs taken now. It is a real shame because they are stopping future generations from being able to look back at us and to com pare our times with whatever the future will bring. Thanks a lot my friend :) Regarding photography I have the feeling a lot of people are looking for old tech now because they seem to „render different“ (CCD sensor aka „film look“) or they want the raw experience like shooting film on analog and mechanical cameras. Video is a different story, but I think the last few years we also reached a level where video cameras are good enough even for professional work, where no one needs the greatest and latest. But I have to admit I always fall victim to these review videos when content creators drop videos on new gear 😅 That’s somehow it made me happy when I watched Gerald Undone comment video about the S9 topic (not sure if you have watched it, he made great points). Regarding the X100VI I would say, if you are really curious for yourself regarding the tech of the X100VI keep your pre order and when it arrives play with it and see, if you will keep it or not. At this current state it looks like you could sell it of with no loss, if you don’t like it. Have a nice day my friend and thanks for stopping by! :)

I bought a Helios lens for that but I rarely use it because it's just more of an inconvenience since there's no autofocus :P But I try my best in post to degrade the image by adding imperfections. Isn't that ironic? I stopped watching big channels honestly. Not good for my wallet and I find most of the times they are a little biased. I would be too if Sony sent me lenses to review. Red Digital Camera, Sony Camera, LUMIX Camera and Alexa shooter here. Video wise the image on the S9 sensor (it has the same sensor as S5ii) is superior to the A7C in two aspects. 1.) Highlight areas of the images captured on the S9 sensor has a smoother rolloff, and can be cut and mixed with images captures Red Cinema and Alexa cameras easily. The Sony sensors have “crunchy” highlight roll off and harder to mix footage with RED cameras even if you use the same exact lens. 2.) Just Like a RED Cinema Camera the S9 records in 6K. You can capture videos on the S9 and then when editing you can ZOOM into the image 35% and you will still have the same amount of resolution as the A7C. If you’re capturing documentary or wedding videos… and you want to capture shots in 50mm but down want to miss anything that might spontaneously happen you can use a wide 35mm, and zoom in when editing to get the a 40mm, 45mm or 50mm focal length and you will still be left with a 4K image. With the A7C if you zoom into the image when you edit you no longer have a 4K image. It is below 4K now

  • @IntrovertAmateur

Totally agree with you, video specs the LUMIX blows almost any camera out of the water, because of the price. The in my opinion the S5II is the best camera for professional use as you described it. The S9 is somehow marketed to aim at short form content creation and here I think most people just don’t care as much about video quality, because the audience of short form content can barely see the difference of well graded iPhone footage and a professional camera, specially when watched on a small phone screen. If you throw in photography in my opinion eyes the A7C has a bit of an advantage. But as I said totally agree on your opinion regarding the video specs of the LUMIX. Thank you for your time watching and commenting! Much appreciated!

Fuji XF10 has digital zoom and it upscales to the original mp in camera when I shoot. Cropping means that eventually you end up looking at the pixels, and that is the problem . But after upscaling a picture a lot you dont see the pixels anymore and though the resolution is the same, it looks like the resolution has become a bit higher.

I have 30 old cameras that I bought used and I often think of selling some, but I find that every time I pick up a camera and go out shooting , when I get home and look at the pictures I learn something new about the picture quality of the camera and my new experience is never what I expected, so my memories of what the cameras that I have are always wrong. That means I have to keep the kameras, since I dont know them yet

I don’t come close to 30 pieces, but I can definitely relate to your experience :) On the weekend I took out my XA for a spin/roll and learned something new, like you described. Thank you for your time watching and commenting!

I have the Nikon for three days and return it. It’s just too bulky and large for a second everyday camera. You might as well buy the z8. I guess we cant have everything. One day, Fuji will make a full frame X100.

I do understand what you mean. I wish the Zf was smaller. And I wish Fuji would make a full frame X100, but I I think it’s more possible the next Zf getting smaller :) Thanks for watching!

I would have spent $1500 on a wathersealed GX9 that’s slightly larger with a high quality EVF with G9ii sensor and LUT feature

That would be a great price for these specs. Thank you for watching!

    This....or Pentax monochrome?

I never had the Pentax in my hands, but I would choose the the Zf, because I can’t fully commit to mono. Thank your for watching!

I think the Lumix Lab app is gonna creep up on people. The S9 will be a slow burn, but I think once people get their hands on it, and see how much TIME it saves, it will pick up steam for sure. Updates to it will be on the way also.

Agree, the app is putting Panasonic a head of other camera brands regarding app experience next to Leica. I’m really curious how the S9 will be received by people who are buying and using the production model. Let’s see. Thank you for watching!

All we need from the pana is a usable lightweight m43.

S9 is garbage. A7C is waaaaaay better. Don't pay attention to all the paid off shills like Julia Trotti
