I almost fainted when you mentioned my name, thank you so so much! You're really my biggest inspirations right now, I'd even say a reason to come back to KZread, because the way you create gives me hope that you can be successful with sharing your passion without using pushy marketing tactics. (I'm watching this video long after it was published, I wasn't really around KZread much for the past year, but still this improved my spirits.) I love this piece and every piece of yours, thank you again for talking about all of this ♥

How do you capture such detail with a soft pastel, my artworks always look a smudgy abstract mess!

I like that you sprayed it to secure the layers underneath! Overall, soft pastels are hard to use because it's chalky but with your tips, I can try using it again. Thanks! ❣❣

I like your style. It’s like a more simplified Reilly method but more detailed Loomis lol. After an accident a few years back it impaired my drawing ability but videos like yours make it easier to get back in and try again. Thank you for this 😊

Hi! It would be wonderful if you could make a tutorial on how we can draw poses solely based on our imagination because in my opinion , its quite difficult to put on paper the postures we have in mind, otherwise I loved your tutorial, it was really helpful!!

So informative! I have soft pastelles and I never knew how to work them the way I wanted. This helped so much I can’t wait to apply what I learned!
I can never use warm colors and always stick to cool tones. This painting is an amazing slap in the face for me to break out my barely used yellows and tans. ❤
first, beautiful sketch & drawing. 2nd my Huion arrives today! Its replacing my OG Wacom -- so your review makes me happy & excited!

Lips end seem to line up with center eye, not speaking like I'm an expert to be honest the step by step always made it hard for me than just drawing what's in my head or what I see the best I can...but I like ur video so ima sub n like and probably use it during my practice cuz I'm still gonna try to get it down even tho it's harder for me than just drawing without the step by step

How would you compare Sennelier, Paul Rubens and Rembrandt soft pastels. Especially regarding the price point, quality, lighfastness and colour variety available. What is the best set one can get in the best price?

This is absolutely beautiful! I love how you captured atmosphere. If I may suggest a paper that doesn't require fixing in between layers so no warping is a paper called Pastelmat. It's the best pairing with soft pastels. There's a bit of learning curve to using it but it's worth it with the amount of layers it takes. It's personal preference though, I just thought to share since you care to be so generous in sharing yourself 😀 For this being your second piece, it is really impressive! Stay inspired 💃
