I fully agree. I use 4% oil on my Jetcats and could get down to 2.5%. I run only Jet A1 and Jetcat oil, which has all the additives in it and is built to be burned. People are using here 5%, and some bunker Diesel and the engine looks like a charcoal pizza oven inside. 😂

I use the Pedo tube like you said in the inlet. Outa site and tie into your flaps. GPS gives speed,correct ? Nice bird love the blue.

@Fenderbeanrc I use Nx Spectrum and with the Avian esc I can get just about anything, battery, speed,altitude. Reason I suggested outa the way on Pedo so not to be bumped into,ex hanging out of wing,or tip. Tie into your flaps only. Being not so sure of accuracy of the speed entering your inlet P.s. I'm Electric freak right now 🤪

I’m a real F22 mechanic. I do all the structural maintenance. Composite repair and restocking all the special paint material. Just barely finished jet# 58,32, and 72 that being said. I’m a huge fan of your project going on. Omg what a beautiful rc

After 28 years Army flying I knew I’d miss it so I retired into a contract flying the same aircraft I left. Stay healthy and stay on flight status. I’m 67 and in my 44th year of military flying. Airplane ownership would mean giving up RC jets unless I keep the ones I have going and no new ones. Maybe if you did go airlines and got some seniority you could own full scale and do jets too. Then there is always family to consider. It’s hard to own an airplane when they only have a passing interest yet see the costs. Now is such a bad time too. I tried the rent thing and for $140 an hour to go out 20 minutes then have to return and shoot a couple patterns bored the crap out of me. Buy a digital servo instead!

Yeah renting was painful, $145 for a 172 was just not logical. Airlines was just not worth it for me, it would have still taken 10 years to get to a point being able to have some sort of normal life. Not many Apache jobs as a civilian, I think my best bet is to do what I always do. Just work towards the goal and make happen.

Nice install on the tank. I believe the cockpit tube you showed in the video was for the front pilot. Just be aware that you don't cut it down until you confirm that. Looking forward to the next video.👍

whenever there are a lot of updates on radio firmware, that tells me either they are not testing enough to be confident on a solid release candidate, OR they dont want to wait till they thoroughly test a radio before releasing an update. Either scenario is a red flag for me. I think the FRSky radios are amazing for the price, all the features you'll ever need, but gonna wait till they get their firmware rock solid.

I use the x20pro on all my jets. There is not much difference between the 20s and the Pro. As for Updates I'm running the latest version. Its super easy to deal with any software update. I have many friends running FrSky in their turbines no issues. Yea I never mount the GSU, Turbine, ECU, GSU for updates.

I have someone coming over next week to sit down and show me the radio and what it can do so I may put it in something in the future, I just dont see it giving me what is causing me to look else where. 22-24 channels with sbus.

I'm running sbus and 16 channels on my F-15 it's capable of 24. I just don't need 24. In the receiver settings, you can choose 8, 16 or 24. It's really nice to have so many channels. It makes programing alot more fun. Also on the transmit side you can set the signal strength for the 900m. Seeing is believing though. Good luck

Although the gyro may show ok, it's electronic and possibly something is screwed up in it, warranty it and get a new one if possible . I had this happen to a telemetry attachment in a 6 meter sailplane and I got a new one and it worked like a charm.

Rear bulkhead come loose and the gear shifted which cut one of the wires on the electric brake. I just rolled into the grass.
