But they don’t have a receiver over 18 channels so how do you utilize the other channels?

I use the x20pro on all my jets. There is not much difference between the 20s and the Pro. As for Updates I'm running the latest version. Its super easy to deal with any software update. I have many friends running FrSky in their turbines no issues. Yea I never mount the GSU, Turbine, ECU, GSU for updates.

I have someone coming over next week to sit down and show me the radio and what it can do so I may put it in something in the future, I just dont see it giving me what is causing me to look else where. 22-24 channels with sbus.

I'm running sbus and 16 channels on my F-15 it's capable of 24. I just don't need 24. In the receiver settings, you can choose 8, 16 or 24. It's really nice to have so many channels. It makes programing alot more fun. Also on the transmit side you can set the signal strength for the 900m. Seeing is believing though. Good luck

whenever there are a lot of updates on radio firmware, that tells me either they are not testing enough to be confident on a solid release candidate, OR they dont want to wait till they thoroughly test a radio before releasing an update. Either scenario is a red flag for me. I think the FRSky radios are amazing for the price, all the features you'll ever need, but gonna wait till they get their firmware rock solid.
