Hey Brian, brand new to Fmods (love you all). This is a breif question, i need to update sync build for all the new mods. In my MY20 Escape i’ve enabled everything in forscan to get me full self driving that comes standard in MY21+. Will these APIM settings be wiped, or worse, will the cause problems in the rest of the modules?

Hello For anyone who was getting LST_ERR05 on mac my issue was the files kept downloading and safari will automatically remove the gz part by decompressing the file. To fix this you need to go to Safari settings and under general at the bottom uncheck the open safe files dialog box then redownload the gz files following the same steps in the video and you should no longer receive this error. Good Luck.

Hi, what parameter has to be changed in order to enable multimedia without ignition, no key, you open the car and just switch multimedia on and it will stay on until you switch it off. Please advise forscan settings.

Thank you for this video. I have a 2016 F150 Lariat and wanted to update to get Apple CarPlay. Well I tried to download from Fords website and it never worked. I tried it over 3 times. Finally got fed up and found out about cyanlabs. Well, I literally give it one last try and it worked perfectly. I went from sync 3 version 1 to sync 3 version 3.4 with 2023 nav maps. Shout out to cyanlabs. Game changer.

Please help🙏 Autoinstall.lst downloads as a txt file. So it shows "autoinstall.lst.txt". I cant figure out how to change it from a txt file and i suspect this is why I can't get it to work. Any help is appreciated since my sync 3.3 is super buggy. Thanks!

I just got one and I want to know what steps I should take to make sure it connects to my sync 3 system (I installed the same new system you installed in this video, I love this upgrade thank you! Yes, since Sync 3.4 was never meant for C1MCA platform they never fixed it.

Can’t do it?… THIS was MY FAILURE…NOT YOURS THE…FIRST…thing I should have done was draw you a map and given you an overview… Of course I am talking about this video…. This tech might be a wiz with computers and cars…. But this video is a fail ..in my opinion. STARY WITH THE BIG PICTURE ROAD MAP…AND LITERALLY… the written list of instructions grouped by logical task blocks… Left Left Click Right Left Left Right Right No-one could repeat these steps… nor know what to do if the process has a glitch. I don’t care what the other comments say…. This was not an explanation…

Had no luck installing. Got the first 2 flash drives to install. But the 3rd one would never do anything. It would tell me Damon installers already installed but then I would do the third USB drive and it would give me another error saying it can't find a certain file I redownloaded the files. Still no luck. I noticed that they were extracting those files inside of another file, so I moved those files out of that file so they're on the route of The drive but still no luck either way

I have a 2017 explorer and was going to be updating for the newer maps. Mine shows version 3.0 build 19205 product and maps NA 1 15. My question is do I need to leave the vehicle run for the entirety of the update, and also, I tried to do the Ford update at one point but my drive did not let me “upload” the file showing the update was completed to the Ford website. Will this affect your update at all? Thanks!

This worked FLAWLESSLY! I've been trying to update my 2017 Ford Fusion from Version 2.0 to the recent version from Ford Owner page and kept getting an error message. Also love that this shows a progress bar and says what it's doing instead of using showing "Updating System Software...." And I don't have a PC so I stumbled upon this for Mac and was so happy! My dad has a 2016 F-150, Sync 3 V1.0 his original USB hub was: GC3T-14F014-BB and I bought him HC3T-14F014-BE. I downloaded the update for sync on a USB and it’s just been saying updating system software. I just want to make sure the usb hub number is correct?

Brian, THANK YOU! Upgraded a 2018 F150 with Sync3 Build 19205 to v3.4. The wifi auto updater never worked so I was very happy to find your Mac video and manual instructions. Thank you thank you thank you.

Followed the instructions. When it came time to install the SD card, Sync wouldn't do anything. Verified the SD card worked. Thought something was messed up and I needed to downgrade to 3.08. Tried to run through the 3.10 update again, just in case. Sync said the latest version was installed. So, I reinstalled NaviPatch. But this time after I applied it and unlocked it, I hit Save. I then set the default wallpaper back and saved it before doing the Sync Master reset. Once Sync restarted, I put the SD card in and poof, I had Navigation.

Yep. Make the jump. You will probably need to update your USB hub at the same time or else you'll get an error on the screen after the update

Just a few tips for this guy. To begin with, why would someone want to “jailbreak” sync3? Second, when you state, “no special tools” and then say, “ all you need is this and this and this” it’s kind of a fake-out, wouldn’t you say?

Hi Brian, Syn3 Updater told me that I have a My20 APIM. I removed it, it's from July 25th, 2019, so APIM was replaced because the car was built in 2016. What now, can I update my APIM?

Hi, I have a 2017 Explorer with version is 3.0.23219. It doesnt show the build on the dropdown list. Do I just enter it manually? Also, will this affect anything on the back up camera, cross traffic alert and proximity sensors on the bumper that shows up in the screen? Thank You in advance!

Did you just do a new update from Ford directly? With that version number I'm concerned you may have a MY20 unit. Have you had the vehicle since new? Want to know if there's a possibility that somebody had it worked on under warranty and had it replaced with the new style units

@@NaviUpgrade I bought the vehicle used a couple of months back and did an update via Ford website to 3.0.20204, then yesterday the navigation acted up with "navigation fault" and I saw an update at the Ford website, downloaded and installed it and and saw the new build which is 3.0.23219. Also I looked at the manufactured date sticker of the APIM when I opened it up and its indeed 2017. I havent plugged the usb yet to update to 3.4 as of this moment

Got the USB "chambered" and ready but I just havent pulled the trigger yet lol! I realized that since my issue is just the navigation, I can live with it for now since my wife is okay with it. If I update it and gets messed up, life might be harder rather than dealing with just the navi issue
