Canadian Woodworks

Follow along as I build my woodworking business from my moms basement, to my dads barn! My goal is to educate & entertain.
I build custom one of a kind furniture designed to last for generations. I teach you how to build the furniture I build. I own and operate a lumber business called Legacy Lumber.

Starting March 17th, I have started my daily vlog

    I will never understand why anyone would finish walnut in anything other than clear, natural, pure, etc. That’s the beauty of walnut. It requires no tinting to look it’s best.

  • @CanadianWoodworks
    @CanadianWoodworksАй бұрын

    I did't not like the idea of 1/4'' thick material being welded to the very thin material of the container which is about 14ga. Also figured it would be easier to change if I needed to. So far the bolting has had zero issues in regards to leaking or strength.

    @CanadianWoodworks oh no! All three? I was hoping to try some crafts using resin, but only if there's a more environmentally friendly option available. Isn't Eco epoxy better for the environment? Also, isn't Epoxy toxic? I heard the fumes can be very harmful to one's health.

    GENIUS! There is Nothing Greater then hatching your own invention...Carrying it out to fruition.. I mean its a brillant thought!.. Little risky in the beginning..You must have thought it over more then a few times... Not everyday you cut your saw mill in two ! I wonder if you asked woodmizer their thought?)) Basically is there any difference with the Wood mizer wide head and this??

  • @CanadianWoodworks
    @CanadianWoodworksАй бұрын

    I did not ask woodmizer....LOL. Yes I thought on this for a while before attempting. This was before many people had done this. I only found 2 images and no information on the interweb about this at the time. The one I would was welded solid.

    Love the chair, love the break down of sanding and the at about 7min you said 50%of the sanding was done at 150g it big dots. Im always keen to jump up grits and call it

  • @CanadianWoodworks
    @CanadianWoodworksАй бұрын

    Experience gives to the understanding of when your ready to go up in grit, sanding is not just sanding. It's the final finish / shape, so learn as you go even from sanding and all your projects will have improvement in quality but also labor spent.

  • @CanadianWoodworks

    Idry is a "fake" vac kiln but it works from what i've seen on the internet. For me this Radio frequency vac kiln has been amazing and i'm 6+ years into using it with minor repair work. A lot of wood has gone through it!! I've wrecked some sure, but not really any more, always a learning curve.
