    Strawberry Field is a wonderful place, I was there in march on my 60th birthday and was made to feel so welcome. It is not only a great place to learn more about John and his mates, but you're visiting, buying your ticket, having a cup of tea and a piece of cake in the cafe, and buying something in the gift shop all helps to keep this place to keep going and to help them do the fantastic work that they do with young people. So go and visit and keep coming back. Sit in the garden and enjoy the peace as John would probably say. In closing all I can say is God bless Julia Baird, and all the team at Strawberry Field and The Salvation Army for this amazing place, and all the hard work put into helping these kids, you all do a fab gear job. Thank you...

    Went to Italy with Perillo in April 2022, when travel was just coming back. It was the most fantastic experience with excellent hotels, great itinerary, great food and exceptional tour guides. Highly recommend!❤ Gonna book Greece in 2025. Can't wait!!

    Took our first Azamara cruise, the Ireland intensive, last summer. Started with Carnival, graduated to Celebrity and now Azamara. We were hooked before the ship even left the dock. Love the longer stays, the overnights and the whole feel of the ship.

    I am not happy with my first time cruising with Virgin cruise line. First day in my room, blood on my bedspread, the blanket was on top of the blood, like trying to hide it…. Smh! It was changed on the next day. Secondly my suitcase got lost for over 24 hrs, the right tag was on it, but someone dropped the ball and delivered it to a different room… they decided to keep it for over 24 hrs. I reported it at 6 pm on the same day, I had to do my own follow up as the crew did not follow up to ask me if I needed anything. On my fourth follow up I asked to speak to the manager in duty that advised I would get $100 credit in my account as we speak and if not found $50 every day. What a joke, my shoes/dresses and the suitcase cost more than that. The suitcase was found later.. the credit was not there… went back and I was advised they were waiting for accounting to post the credit. A couple of hours later I got $50 credit. I went back the next day to advise I only got $50 credit. The manager and staff had Alzheimer. She is telling me there is camera in there and she will review to confirm our conversation .., I would love for her to review it…, what a shame. You put my bag in a different room, did not follow up with me and now you are calling me a liar .. please lady “Marija…. Yes that is her name you need to know when you are wrong and not calling the customer a liar. At this point my bad experience with Virgin was a disaster and I don’t plan on ever cruising with them… what a shame to put a customer through all that and not even care. Never again…

    Congratulations Donna, great interview. We thoroughly enjoy the Azamara product. The onboard experience is second to none, but we believe the background administration support needs improving ie Web site etc and the Atlas bar on Onward is incredible and should be implemented on the other ships.

    While we wish Donna great success and welcome her as team leader, Dondra Ritzenthaler, starting today as CEO of Azamara, has plans to do more with commissions, bonuses and other incentives to encourage travel advisors to book. The question advisors and past guests are asking is, "When will Azamara invest in new buildings or more contemporary existing tonnage?" The fact is that all 4 of the current vessels are aging and near their expiration date, with issues that can't be covered up with bandaid refurbishment. The lack of such investment by Azamara's owners are undermining advisors confidence in the brand and its future viability. The Azamara ships were built in 1999-2001 as the R class vessels for Renaissance cruises. It is well accepted from a purely technical standpoint that the life of a cruise ship is a maximum 30 years at which time the cost of repairs far outweighs keeping them in service. And remember these ships were built as cruise ships, e.g. not to be equated with ocean liners. Most cruise lines, however, replace their ships before 30 years due to the increasing cost of maintenance and technical breakdowns (just like your car). It takes some years between the beginning of planning and investing in those plans, starting with reserving space in the heavily booked ship yards and the work of a naval architect. So If Azamara does not the process now, in several years they will be out of businessand selling the current vessels for scrap.
