Never trust any salesman who says “trust me” used to work in sales and thats one of my go-to lines 😂 Edit: it tricks the seller/buyer into believing that you are giving them a good deal. Smart individuals walk away and suckers take the deal.

I’m NOT an expert- but the zoom in looks cloudy from here. It looks like the emeralds I used to see years ago in cheap settings. It has that color anyway. My mother loves gold, emeralds, and the marquis cut- those rings only had that color, cloudiness, and dullness. The lab grown ones seem to be clearer

As a Sri Lankan I can say when you buy yellow sapphire put it into cold water for a few hours to see its natural colour. Otherwise If you wear or use that type temporarily treated stones colour Will be faded specifically in called weather 😅😅
