Hi! Im Eric and welcome to my channel.
My channel focuses mainly on documenting my model railway hobby, where I am building my OO gauge railway 'Harefield'.
I also dabble in 5' gauge live steam which is just as fun!
Please subscribe and enjoy my videos!

I dream of having a collection like this one day <3 must've taken you years of collecting ^^
Currently binging this series and loving it
Love the very 'original' timelapse music 😂
I would love to see a full video on this. It looks awesome so far.
Thunderbird duty ?
😂 i guess so!!
The pannier has a nice exhaust sound for a miniature. Also driving your own loco around in the sunshine must be bliss
Its the best hobby man!! Love it so much
@@UndergroundEric miniature locos is something i really should look into.
Can we see the crane working please 😊
No breakdowns so sadly it wasnt needed 😆
Flipping wicked.
Hey Eric i wonder dose the crane fit in your car
It would
Are you thinking what I'm thinking
Hi from a Belgian colleague trein driver (just retired), I'm also a keen British oo gauge trein collector era 1 to 3. Quite a collection you have in stock there. One that's very high on my wanted list is the 1930's red EFE London transport stock. Also got a very rare A class 4-4-0 nr 23 as it sits in the London transport museum, as a kit from Keyser. But it still needs to be assembled. Also some other underground stuff, two versions of the Heljan Bo-Bo's, and the Bachmann London transport pannier tank. Anyway, saw a few of your video, all nice to watch, thanks for making these interesting video's…
link is down ?
Brill, thanks for posting Eric...
Cheers matey

What can I say but a Fantastic video Eric!!! Really enjoyed it 🤩🤩
Cheers mate, bit of a random one!
Hi Eric, hope all is well. My in-laws used to have a house in Broadsands that had the railway running by the back garden.
Thats awesome, i am very Jel!
Excellent 👍👍
Cheers!
What a day and a great edit. The Red Arrows and a Western in the same pan. It doesn’t get much better. Nice one. ❤
Oh it was something else mate!!!!
Wonderful!
Fantastic video what a great day out 👍
Was amazing mate
glad you had a great day eric. Pathfinder tours are based 5 miles from me and have been on their tours since 1980s. caroline
I loved it Caroline. Thanks!
Why does the name plate read western thunderer? If it supposed to be western champion? Glad your back Eric! Any update videos coming out anytime soon?
You can pay to have a nameplate/number of your choice put on one side of Western Champion 😀 Yes, will be something soon
Amazing. What a day to be in the South West. Steam, diesel and a boat ride. Very enjoyable Eric..all the best.
Tell me about it!!!
How wonderful 😊
A great day!

@@UndergroundEric Aye, great locomotives, Eric. I love a Hymek as well.😎
@@Simonize41 i enjoyed a trip behind one at last years SVR gala! Great sound
Eric you back yay
Well.. haha
Lovely piece of engineering.
🙂🙂
Where abouts are you running your loco?
Its a friends railway 🙂
What a great train ( all aboard ) 🚂
Cheers ross!
Just superb
Thanks!
Brilliant more please
Cheers, will do 😀
No excuses needed. I would love to see more of this
I will see what i can do!
there is one problem that shoudn't be , if it struggles around bends and seems to have no torque it will more than likely be only driving on one axle. to fix it remove the bodyshell and look at either end of the drives above the boogie and you'll find a clip is loose. Just re affix with a small screwdriver and away you go ( they are being del. with a half fitting clip! )
Thanks Eric, just found your brilliant channel (it’s a bit underground 😊) I’ve just started laying my first tracks since I left home in 1987, a long, long wait and now I’m in Thailand so still tricky. Thanks for all the tips and inspiration. I’ll maybe share mine when there’s something to see! Subbed. 👍
Awesome matey, good luck with it all 🙂
@@UndergroundEric Cheers Eric, I’m the founder and only member of the Koh Phangan model railway club 😂 Love the Transit!
Turntable board is amazing. Where did you get it from?
Hiya its from tim horn mate 🙂🙂
Great video Eric. Very talented. Wish I could do it.

My son loves trains and buses
Again no preheating. UK's rail circus remains true to itself.
What makes you think it isnt pre-heated?! Or are you just guessing to make some random point
@@UndergroundEric White clag, sputter, firing up after eons, cheering bystanders when it finally ran... All historic diesels taken care of by british 'enthusiasts' behave like this. And to let you know something, when I'm guessing my term is 'I guess'. Concerning these engines I never make 'some random point'.
Well these engines are pre-heated. So your whinging is invalid 👍 this engine had just been built.
@@UndergroundEric Nonsense. Your rebuilt may be crap which is even more likely - did you e. g. check the heads for cracks...? - but sufficiently warmed up and correctly lined up MDs don't wake up like this. You probably don't know these things as all your Maybachs limp that way and you consider it being normal, but ours in Germany didn't except they had suffered damage, were worn out or treated unprofessionally like brits do on a regular basis. What were coolant and lubricant temps when this vid was taken? 40 degress on both sides would be the absolute minimum, 60 a better choice for an initial start-up, and pre-heating shouldn't be aborted right when guages display the expected numbers. What were fuel, coolant and lubricant pressure figures? Anything less than roughly 40 psi for fuel and 30 psi for the rest should lead to an abortion of actual start-up attempts. How long did you prime the engine in advance? On a major or complete rebuilt it should take at least five minutes before you even crank it for the first time with fuel pumps switched off. What sort of oil do you run on these engines? Maybach recommended sae 40 single grade back in the day and despite certain upgrades having been introduced over the years it still should be the first choice. These are only a few basics and we didn't even talk about the quite challenging L'Orange-devices or potential electric issues so far but doing so on a healthy motor it has to erupt to live without delay.
Stay angry pal, ive got better things to do 😂
First visit to your channel, enjoying your modelling immensely. have a sub 😉
Hey Eric what class is that

👌nice
How did you do the wiring for the locomotive
That CR 165 is hella cool, i have 3 NSE 166's. Im drawn to there odd shape as similar age goes.i just got my NSE 321 motorised and i found it a utter pain ...
