Shannon Pezzolla shares her passion for puzzles - from jigsaw puzzle brand reviews, puzzle hauls and more!
I've been putting jigsaw puzzles together for a LONG time, and I can tell you without reservation that I am thoroughly addicted! From the moment I put together my first puzzle, I was instantly hooked. It's the only consistent hobby that I've had throughout my life, and one that I have every intention of practicing until I kick the bucket.
I'm also persnickety - which means I'm picky and care a whole lot about quality. Jigsaw puzzles are super-popular right now, and there are TONS of new and exciting brands out there. I'm here to let you know about the brands worth buying from AND the brands to avoid.
This channel is all about jigsaw puzzles. There are going to be lots of jigsaw puzzle brand reviews, puzzle hauls, puzzle time lapses and more! Stay tuned!

I vote for Piatnik first and Pomegranate second and Yazz third
It would bw neat to know more about the Lolita canada ones i like the pictures and never heard of. Although i really love so many you showed and lije the same style if artwork you do and now want all of them lol. My daughter is making me do a hello kitty one that was 5.00 its so horrible and frustrating you have to guess if peices fir then the whole thing just falls apart when you move one piece. So after this i only want to buy good quality my husband bought not realizing not all puzzles are made the same
Hi Alexa! Yes, there are sooo many new brands out there and some of them are awesome! And the cheap brands can be the WORST quality!! There is something to be said for the saying "You get what you pay for". Thanks so much for watching and for taking the time to comment! :0)
@persnicketypuzzler thank you I just watched all your artist you love videos some great suggestions for future puzzles. Thank you
I can't find this brand of puzzle's if you Google it, it acts like there is a place but it goes to a dog website? Do you have any updates? Have they gone out of business?
Hi Leann! I just checked and it appears that they are no longer in business! I will say that the puzzle prices were on the pricier side, and unless you can lower them, people will not purchase. It's not easy starting a company either. Thanks for letting me know. :0)
I thought of a few puzzles with puzzles in them. White Mountain has one called Puzzle Library. Buffalo Games used to sell a puzzle called Puzzler's Desk. I've seen that same image done by other puzzle companies too. Do you have either of those in your collection already?
Hi fifi! I do not own either of the puzzles you mentioned and I am adding them to my list! Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment! :0)
@@persnicketypuzzler If you ever feel like it, it would be fun to see your collection of puzzles with puzzles in them. I would also love to see your Christmas puzzle collection if you feel like sharing. Thanks for your videos!
@@fififirestone3787 Great idea except I would have to "find" all the puzzles! It would take me DAYS to do that! Xmas puzzle collection is another good idea as well. Again, thanks for watching and for commenting! :0)
I would LOVE it if you would say whether the puzzles are random cut vs grid cut or ribbon cut. I really prefer random cut puzzle. And my least favorite are ribbon cut. It can be hard though to know which puzzles are random cut. I love your channel. Thanks.
Hi Dawn! I hear you. The only difficulty to my specifying the type of puzzle cut is that I don't know if the puzzles are random or grid cut when they are brand new, and I haven't opened them up yet. I do try to always mention the type of cut when I do my brand reviews, but I typically do not mention the cut type when I am doing my puzzle haul videos as I just do not know yet. I really appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment! :0)
You are hilarious! Love it.
And how is this a small haul, I wonder….😀😀😀
Hi Gerda! Well, this is a small haul for me, as I have NO SELF CONTROL where puzzles are concerned! Thanks for watching and for taking the time to comment! :0)
I just bought the Janet hill puzzle today! I love your taste in puzzles. Every time I watch one of your hauls my wishlist grows even larger still 😆
Hi there! YES!! I love it when my viewers purchase one of the puzzles in my haul cuz I know that I am not alone in my obsession!! Keep up the good work! Thanks so much for watching and for commenting! :0)
They are at the Dollar tree now for $1.25. I brought 6 of them.
I'm in love with the first puzzle, of the hippo. It's going in my cart! FYI, your placeholder for the brand name on it shows "brand". Hahaha.. It's nice to know you're human! How is the quality of Braagmiens ?
Hi Marianne! So happy to hear that you are going to get the Hippo puzzle. It is STUNNING! Not sure what you mean by the placeholder for the brand name. Can you explain that a bit more? :0)
Great video 😊
Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment! :0)
Not a single one I didn’t love. Your “small haul” was more puzzles than I have gotten in 2 years 😆
Hi Pam! Awesome that you loved ALL of them! Totally agree with you about the size of the haul - it is not exactly small - but for me it was definitely an improvement! So... any puzzles that you'd like to add to your collection? Hmmm? Thanks for watching and for commenting! :0)
Shannon, loved the puzzle haul like always. You should do a “battle of the brands” with like gold, silver and bronze medals to celebrate the Olympic Games since you are participating in the summer Olympics puzzles this year. I am looking forward to watching your next video 😊❤️🧩
Great idea!! I'm up to my eyeballs in puzzles as I try to finish my Bingo card and take part in some of the other events in the Puzzle Olympics. It's really hard to participate AND make videos at the same time! Thank you so much for watching and for taking the time to comment! :0)

Hi Sharon! I do like a lot of different and interesting artwork. When I think back to my early days of puzzling and the puzzles I put together back in the day, I *almost* want to cringe. I've come a LONG way from the landscapes and old-fashioned puzzles I used to put together. Glad you enjoyed my picks! Really appreciate you watching and for commenting! :0)
Summer in Puglia is beautiful !! Looks like a great puzzle
It really is! I'm super-excited about the Piecely puzzle brand and cannot wait to put some of their puzzles together! Thank you for watching and for commenting! :0)
Nice puzzle haul! I recently did the Piecely 'Under the Sea' one. Just FYI, Piecely puzzles are manufactured in both Türkiye and Poland, so the finish and cut is going to be different on them. I enjoyed both that I did equally well.
Hi there! Thanks for the info about Piecely. Can you tell me what you thought about the quality of the brand? Thanks for watching and for commenting! :0)
@@persnicketypuzzler the quality is excellent. The ones made in Turkiye are similar to Enjoy or Magnolia, and the ones made in Poland are similar to Art & Fable.

Hi Nadia! So happy you enjoy the puzzle haul videos. I enjoy making them! Now if only I could get them for free! Thanks so much for watching and commenting! :0)
12:35 - Just purchased this puzzle and received it this week. I am looking forward to completing this one, too. 14:40 - Is it just me, or has eBoo seemed to have changed the style of its imagery catalog? I used to could be able to identify an eBoo puzzle just by the completed puzzle (did not even have to see the box). But now (a couple that you held up), I am pleasantly surprised. The images look "fresh" and "inviting." - Thank you for sharing your hauls -- and as always, the provided coupons😊
Hi there! You'll have to let me know what you think about the Imperial Hotel puzzle by Galison once you finish it! With regards to eeBoo, yes, I think they are changing things up a bit. I generally really like their imagery, but I was getting tired of the same "type" of imagery. I can still pick out an eeBoo puzzle from a mile away though. I do think these 2 puzzles look fabulous and the colors are to die for! Really appreciate you watching and commenting! :0)
@@persnicketypuzzler , yes, will definitely share my thoughts and experience once I have completed it😊 - I have another puzzle, I have a hankering to complete first, and I just started it today. It is a 1000-piece, Tidemark brand puzzle, called _Contemplation_ (artist: Jonathan Green).
@@aphetrerryac3603 I hadn't heard of Tide-mark puzzles until just now! Love it when I find out about new brands. Thanks for all your comments and enjoy the puzzle! :0)
I really like your taste in puzzle images, but some I think may be too difficult for me as I'm a newbie and you're an expert! 😅
Hi Jeanette! You will improve quickly if you puzzle a lot. I've had a few years (ahem) experience so I'm pretty speedy now. Don't let a difficult-looking image stop you from trying the puzzle. It's the only way to get better at it! Really appreciate you watching and commenting! :0)
Shannon....tiny haul, huh?!🤭 This is a beautiful haul. I've looked up several, but will mention only the following because I will ramble on and on and on and on AND on: The artist of Ravensburger 's Athletic Fit has a vibe of one of my favorites, Charley Harper! Don't you think so?
Hi Betty! Well, yes, it's a small haul - at least for me! I do agree with you about Mario Zucca - there is a bit of a resemblance to Charley Harper - and I LOVE me some Charley Harper! Thanks for watching and for always commenting! :0)

Hi Melissa! Great suggestion! I *adore* Christmas puzzles so my "list" of Xmas puzzles is probably gonna be HUGE! Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment! :0)
Ah, your usual wonderful colourful haul. I've done a couple of Frank Lloyd Wright jigsaws, these being Hoffman House Rug and Saguaro Forms & Cactus Flowers. Are you aware of two puzzle related jigsaws called The Puzzler's Palette (Ravensburger) and Puzzle Festival (Gibsons)? The Gibsons one was released a month or so ago. There is one I had a while ago called The Puzzle Factory but it was released in 2014 so probably unavailable now or hard to find. Look forward to your next video.
Hi PuzzlePiece! Are you TRYING to make my puzzle addiction even worse?? I was not aware of those 2 puzzles you mentioned, so now I'm gonna have to pick them up and add them to the collection. Sob! As far as the Puzzle Factory puzzle goes, I did have that one in my collection, and I put it together 1 time, and then I promptly donated it. It was a really difficult puzzle, and I did not enjoy putting it together - which is rare for me. If you know of any other "puzzles about puzzling", please let me know. Thanks a bunch for watching and for commenting! :0)
Such beautiful puzzles! As a cat lover, I might HAVE to get Cat Tree. I'm laughing to myself thinking, "this is a small haul?" You are so funny! I've got a big pile of puzzles to work on, so will try to resist buying any new ones. Once they start to stack up, I feel anxious about getting them done.
Hi Sharon! That cat tree puzzle is just darling. And YES, for me, this is a SMALL HAUL!! It's probably 15 puzzles less than last month's haul! I'm trying really, REALLY hard to keep July's puzzle haul from growing to EXPONENTIAL PROPORTIONS!! Really appreciate you taking the time to watch and for commenting! :0)

Great haul ! I adore Zoe Sadler puzzlers. I think I have them all. Eeeek. And already preordered the new Circus one. I think I only bought 5-6 last month. That is really good for me.
Hi there! You have ALL of Zoe Sadler's puzzles??!! I'm coming over RIGHT NOW! I'm going to have to get busy and start acquiring more of her puzzles for my collection. Unfortunately, her puzzles are not available on Ravensburger US which makes it a little more difficult, but fear not - I WILL have them ALL! Kudos to you for having the discipline to only purchase 5 or 6 puzzles. I always start out saying I'm going to only buy a few, but I apparently have NO self-contol! Hi Shannon. Fabulous puzzle haul. Interesting images & new brands to explore. Have you thought about getting in touch with some of your favorite artist and doing a video with them? It may be fun to ask about their current ideas for upcoming puzzles and how they started doing puzzle images. Thank you for a wonderful show and tell with your purchases.
Hi Hester! I have thought about doing an interview with some of my favorite artists, but I'd have to figure out how to go about it. I'm not sure how it would work. It's a great idea and one that I may explore down the road. In the meantime, thanks so much for watching and for taking the time to comment! :0)

Hi Susan! I do love me some color! Cannot resist it! Thanks for watching and commenting! :0)
Shannon, I think this is your best haul ever. You really knocked it out of the park. I've never seen so many beautiful puzzles in just one month's haul. Real standouts to me are Bgraamiens "Hippo in Water" (you had me laughing out loud with this one!); Antelope Mandela puzzles (difficult to decide on which one is best - I first thought Mandela Morph but then I fell in love with the Mandela Roses one, no, I better go back and watch your video all over again); Paper Blanks "Celestial Magic" is stunning as well as eeboo's "Magical Fruits". I can't have all of them. I just recently bought a puzzle off of ebay that I have wanted for 30 years and I wish now I had bought it when it first came out because of the ebay price. It is Great American Puzzle Factory's "Kitty Picnic". I feel fortunate to have found one that had never been opened. I'm watching this video again in the next couple of days to see what puzzles to put on my "buy" list. Thank you for sharing your great puzzle haul.
Hi Maggie! Wow! So happy to hear how much you love this puzzle haul! I think the Bgraamiens "Hippo in Water" puzzle is AWESOME! And the Antelope mandala puzzles all ROCK!! Hi Sharon! No, I cannot believe you never puzzled as a child! Did you pick it up during the pandemic? Are you as addicted to puzzling as I am? Inquiring minds want to know. :0)
@@persnicketypuzzler I'm not sure how I started, but it's been a few years (a little before the pandemic). I love Halloween images (my birthday) and bought a couple of puzzles. I alternate puzzling and sewing baby blankets for Project Linus. I don't think I can compete with your level of puzzling however. As kids, we spent every minute we could outside, so I had no inside hobbies at all. I cannot remember even seeing a puzzle as a child. Can you imagine?

My favorite puzzle ive ever done is Verticalville by Springbok. I got extremely lucky and thrifted a complete one for less than $5. Only serious damage was one piece that was ripped in half, which i promptly glued back together with scrapbooking glue. I am absolutely obsessed with vintage Springbok puzzles and i have to fight my instincts not to buy every single one I see! Gotta save some for the other puzzle enthusiasts in my town 😂 there wasn't a puzzle from your childhood and young adulthood i wouldn't wanna do except maybe that candy apple one 😂❤

While there aren't many modern Springbok images that draw me in, I adore the vintage ones! I'm not encountering a ton of puzzle dust in the really old ones though. I wonder what the difference is between the ones I've acquired and the one you have to account for the dust variance.
Hi Robin! I'm with you with regards to the current lineup of Springbok puzzles - they are definitely NOT calling my name. Not sure what the difference is between the puzzle dust you have experienced and the puzzle dust I experienced; I just know that it was WAY TOO MUCH DUST for my liking. Could I suggest round puzzles as your next subject? Vintage Springbok, Waddington, new Ravensburgers….
Hi there! I'd love to do a video on round puzzles, but I do not own any vintage Springbok round puzzles, nor any Waddington or round Ravensburgers. I do have a TON of round Bgraamiens puzzles, and some round eeBoo puzzles. But to be honest, I cannot afford to purchase a bunch of puzzles just to make a particular video. I do it *at times*, but I'm currently broke so I am *trying* not to spend any more money on puzzles (although my June puzzle haul is nothing to sneeze at).
