I am so glad you did this comparison review. I love Olga Suvarova art and I have all five from Pomegranate and the two from Art and Fable. Both companies have excellent, quality puzzles and boxes. When I put together the Tamer from pomegranate, my puzzle wish was that Art and fable would have Olga Suvarova images in their selection. Because of their deep saturation of color and the feel of their puzzle pieces. (Paper Blanks is another puzzle company that would be excellent for her images.) I was so excited when I saw art and fable had in their selection The Tamer and a new one of Joan of Ark! I have each one in my puzzle collection and I am one happy puzzler.

What an interesting video. I wonder if having the same image on two different brands is a common occurrence. Great review of the brands and thanks for putting the puzzle together twice so we’d get a hands on comparison!!!

Hi Randee! I’ve very rarely seen the artwork by an artist on two different brands. Between the weather not cooperating, and having to put this puzzle together twice, this video took A LOT longer than I wanted it too. But I’m really glad I did it. Thanks for watching and commenting! :0)

Art and Fable puzzles images are beautiful and the colors are rich and pop. I think I like my puzzle pictures to be colorful rather than dull.

I am so glad you took this rare opportunity to be able to directly compare two puzzle brands. I have done one 500 piece puzzle from each brand (still a newbie), and enjoyed both of them. I petted the Art & Fable pieces alot and am buying more of their puzzles. Thank you

@@persnicketypuzzler I did. It was a charley Harper piece called secret sanctuary while the Art and fable is called fiddler. I have been exploring brands like the ones you review and others like Inner Piece and Good fit. As a quilter I have a fabric obsession which I seem to have translated into buying puzzles

Hey Shannon! I totally agree with your assessment. The Art & Fable brand is great, but too expensive. I have seen that exact puzzle retail for $40.00.

Hi Morgan!! Art & Fable is an awesome brand, but it's not cheap. Unfortunately for me, I liked the look of the A&F artwork and the box more than the Pomegranate puzzle. I love both brands so I'll keep buying them both. Thanks so much for your comments! :0)

Interesting to see your view on two brands with the same image. Not surprised you favoured the Art & Fable but they are rather expensive. 💰 A list of the puzzles you have bought is helpful but having a very good memory for images helps in not buying one you already have. There are many times when I have seen the same image but with a different title from various brands. One way I check if I am not sure, is to screenshot the image, pop it into Google images and see what appears. I too have a list of puzzles I have bought over the years. Look forward to your next video.

Hi there! I wish I had a good enough memory where I could remember all the puzzles I have purchased, but I absolutely do not! Your idea of screenshotting the image is a good one though, and I'll have to try that. If you know of any puzzles with the same artwork on two different brands, I'd love to hear about it. @@persnicketypuzzler I can tell you about one as I mentioned it recently on another puzzler's KZread. The puzzle was White Mountain Winter Games as a 1000 piece, artist Trevor Mitchell. I had done that as a part of a 500 Gibsons double called Wigwams and Woolly Hats. The Woolly Hats one is the same image. You may find it difficult to get Gibsons puzzles in the US. Another one is Paw Drops & Sugar Mice artist Steve Read. There is a Trefl version of this. Try googling those titles and see what you get.

I have tried both brands. Though A&F has more saturation, my biggest turnoff was that the pieces do not slide whatsoever when you want that snap/click sound due to that waxy soft touch. I even gave away this brand due to this, and because of false fits. However, the best puzzle box stand on the market, to me, is A&F's due to better use, doesn't flop over, and portability. When mine wears out, I plan to make one. I have always wanted The Tamer but never wanted to purchase this brand again...but then you tell me Pomegranate, one of my favorite brands, carries it?!!! I'm getting it! I also love that you actually measured with calipers piece thickness. I have calipers too for the same reason! Is this something you intentionally bought or hubby already had it? I am so glad Pomegranate is thicker. Great video, Shannon. It seems like we have the same persnickety taste, LOL!!

Hi BettyC! You crack me up!! We definitely must be related! You are absolutely right about the A&F puzzle pieces not sliding around. That did bother me somewhat, but I did love the Velvet-Touch box! So happy that you are going to purchase Pomegranate's "The Tamer" piece! It is just gorgeous! Regarding the calipers - I have them because I used to make jewelry, and I needed them to measure beads and other jewelry components. Glad that I still have them to measure puzzle piece thickness now! Thanks a bunch for commenting - I can always count on you!! :0)
