These procedures need to be standardised. Every university has their own method and procedure. it is honestly very annoying.

Greetings. Life is created by God. There's also a son that he beared into the world named Jesus. Jesus forgave us of all wrongs. Inhale oxygen.

I fractured my wrist about 12 years ago (I was 7) and I can still feel it hurting even that much after. Nothing seems to help, even pain medication or leaving it in a brace. I’ve just accepted that it’s going to be like that for the rest of my life. Can’t even write for too long or do any strenuous activity that involves my right hand. Sucks.

How far to you advance the tube? Should we just continuously auscultate to ensure adequate air entry bilaterally, or is there a specific landmark that can be used? Secondly, what would be best to secure the tubing?

Thank you for this useful demonstration. I have a question: Why do we only allow oxygen to be delivered for 1 second at a time? Would more oxygen not be beneficial?
@ketaminekp5 ай бұрын
Brother, dont you want to exhale. We allow oxygen for one second and allow exhalation for 4 seconds. As the flow rates are high, risk of barotrauma is there.

I also recommend 2 cc of NS in the syringe used to entre the trachea. This will aid, from bubbles, in determining when the lumen is entered.

This was helpful for two reasons: #1. I'm going to be an EMT, so I might as well learn to do this now. #2. My mom dislocated her shoulder after an accident we had at home, and I was able to relocate it for her instead of going to a hospital where they'd charge us a ton for something so simple. So thank you! (We used the 1st method, with the foot in the armpit; it worked instantly!)

Is there any reason why LMA couldn't be used in a surgery? Any reason an endotracheal tube would be preferable or required? Is LMA only for short operations?
@susanabt44989 ай бұрын
it could be used for short procedures and for low risk anestheic cases. but besides these, it could also be used in pre hospital settings and during cardiac arrest to achieve more secure airway with out endotracheal tube.

Salaam (peace) I greatly appreciate this video. I slipped and fell full force on my hand as described in the video. I went to a general clinic for an X-ray buy the results showed no fracturing of bones. I cannot put pressure on that hand and cannot not turn my arm with palm up. I am hoping it is just a sprain but there is a part of me that thinks something else is going on. I realize providing advice might be difficult without performing tests, but I would like to receive your opinion. Thank you.
