Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this video. My 69 year old mother fell on the stairs 30 minutes ago and dislocated her shoulder. I found this video with a quick search and we were able to relocate within 10 minutes. She's now resting comfortably in bed with an arm sling and naproxen/lidocaine patches on it. The pain relief was almost instant when we relocated the joint. There was an audible *pop* when it went back in. We used the second technique, by the way. The stable elbow with the forearm rotation. It worked perfectly. God I love the internet and people's generosity with information! Thank you again!

Im pretty sure dislocation can be really dangerous as it can damage things such as blood vessels and that's pretty bad

I dislocated my shoulder riding dirtbikes in the woods today. It felt like a broken arm but knew it wasn’t due to the open cavity in my shoulder socket. My friend and I watched this video and he popped my shoulder back into place. Thank you so much for this!!!!!

This was helpful for two reasons: #1. I'm going to be an EMT, so I might as well learn to do this now. #2. My mom dislocated her shoulder after an accident we had at home, and I was able to relocate it for her instead of going to a hospital where they'd charge us a ton for something so simple. So thank you! (We used the 1st method, with the foot in the armpit; it worked instantly!)

Thanks for this video, helped put a shoulder back in. We thought the first technique with the foot seemed extreme, so used Kocher starting at 4:27 which seemed minimal and straightforward for an otherwise healthy and strong patient.

I did the Kocher technique to help my wife after trying the 2 previous techniques. It seemed to help the most! She kind of wiggled and rolled her shoulder for a couple minutes after doing all of those and it clicked into place. Thank you 🙏

apparently most of my family members dislocated my shoulders once, trying to drag me out of the bed when i was an kid, i only remember the last one, where i was told to point towards something on the ceiling, don't remember if someone was holding my arm to the air, but they probably did, i remember that it didn't even hurt after.

The Hippocrate technique can also break the humerus neck in no time due to the massive lever effect and people try to use the foot as a lever. So the moment force is huge. Probably the most important part of the success rate for shoulder relocation is analgesia and sedation plus patience.

I woke up screaming in pain and could not move my arm at all. Never would wish that pain on my worst enemy. Luckily my daughter was able to put it in a sling and get me painkillers. I eventually fell asleep and it must have went back in when sleeping. Only a dull ache in the morning. Apparently Ehlers-Danlos curse
