I'm tryna find a good 4K 27 inch monitor with 144hz or more. I don't need HDR or OLED and I think from all the videos I've seen, it's a mess and has some annoying cons and is overrated asf. A monitor that would be perfect would be a 4K at 27 inches, IPS (no OLED or HDR etc) 144hz+, DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1, USB-C ports. Is it too much to ask for an all-around good gaming/productivity monitor that supports Mac, PC and Console? lol that way I won't have to buy separate monitors for each...

Might you do a video on these integrated KVMs? If you wanted to do a multi-monitor setup using Daisy Chain (say 3 monitors), can one monitor's kvm control all three? How well would it work for gaming? I looked up the specs of Gigabyte Aorus FO32U2P, and while the 2 DP INPUTS are 2.1, the output (for daisy) is only 1.4, would that limit multi monitor gaming performance in any way? If using daisy chaining, what other performance degradations would you have to suffer since a SINGLE cable is only capable of uncompressed 240Hz @ 4K for a SINGLE monitor? Would the best multi monitor config still be to connect each monitor up separately to the graphics card and have to change the input for a multi-computer multi-monitor setup separately???

Regarding the black comparison. Thats not quite what it looks like in reality. Unless you have both of them side by side and in very specific lighting conditions. If you compare with a regular IPS, VA, TN it look night and day miles beyond uranus black.

Thank you Monitors Unboxed for this impressive test. I was planning to grab a 65" QDOLED Samsung S90C TV for use as PC Monitor but after watching this I'm not sure anymore. Do the Samsung QD OLED TVs have better durability than their monitors, or would you guys say it'll be similar, burning-in after 3-4 months usage? My usage is fairly similar from your test with a good mixture of productivity, movies and games.

Having better color brightness (Color Volume) is a big deal just so you understand. It makes colors pop and when you actually have a panel that can display true blacks like OLED can it make the colors even more beautiful. This is the reason I choose the QD-OLED over WOLED. Again, this is highlighted well in this video! I would definitely make my choose based on what's best for you. The increased framerate at lower res is a big deal if you are a competitive gamer! I personally enjoy single player games and want the best picture possible. Honestly any one is going to be a big upgrade from IPS or... god forbid... a TN panel... Edit: Just thought of a good example. You know how some HDR monitors are washed out even though they have good color space range? Its color volume. Color volume is what makes colors look vivid, vibrant, and pop! Not the range of colors a monitor can display.

I love mine, latest bios fixes the oled care pixel cleaner not kicking in.
Even active optical cables are no guarantee of signal quality, as I've learned with Fibbr brand DP1.4 active cables. In fact, with their cables, somehow the shorter cables cause MORE dropouts. (What, do they put all the reject transceivers and fibers in the short cables?) It makes me wary of even trying DisplayPort 2.0. 1M cable: dropouts. 2M cable: slightly fewer dropouts. 3.3M cable: even fewer dropouts. 33-meter cable they sent me when I ordered a 3.3-meter cable: no dropouts.

The ongoing problem that nobody is talking about is DSC. Unfortunately, these high refresh rate/resolution displays are not compatible with Nvidia DSR, NIS, or DLDSR. This is partly the fault of Nvidia, but in a lot of cases the monitor manufacturer does not offer any workaround like lowering refresh rate to 120hz or even just an option to turn off DSC in the monitor settings.

I bought the PG48UQ and installed yesterday. I can't get 3840x2160 @ 120hz on the Desktop for love or money. Latest drivers (3080), Monitor Driver installed, .029 Firmware. Tried different DisplayPort Cables even though I have a high-end one. Screen goes Black and doesn't recover. Have to power reset and fiddle with auto-input select to get it back. Tried different color gamut (4.2.2) and it stayed on 120Hz for about 30 seconds and started flickering. Now all I get is a black screen on boot, now I can't even revert the Driver change or even boot into safe mode. This monitor experience has been a disaster so far. Never had an issue with my Alienware 38" Ultra-wide.
