Got the 27in 1440p oled 240hz LG monitor for 2 months now. And it's been great. Same as you, was looking to upgrade to something with more hz and the LG definitely hit the spot with the 240hz and the oled screen amplified the 1440p experience.
please test the Koorui 27e3qk, others say it offers fantastic IPS 1440p 240hz at just $270 with response times lower than 4ms (aka better than G274QPX) but it sounds too good to be true and I want to see the response times at other refresh rates and your opinion as well
This is just in time! Thank you
So happy to see my 3 year old LG GL850B here on the list
Did you see RTINGS VRR Flickering problem from OLED and VA panels? Do you want to implement these tests for monitors?
What is your opinion about MSI G274QPF E2? I hope you'll do a review for her 😅😅
I really wish the 32” 1440p segment wouldn’t fall off but we’re pretty much already there. My eyesight isn’t impeccable and I don’t use my gaming monitor a foot or so from my face as I’m not at a conventional desk and I’m off axis a bit so curved isn’t an option. I’ve a/b tested 1440 & 4K displays in my setup and there isn’t much I’m gaining in fidelity but I’m certainly loosing FPS going with 4K. I’m in a niche use case though, so I’m not upset that they’re not covered (at least in most videos). Just sad to see that segment withering where it can be a good choice for folks who don’t require 4K

Agreed, 100%. Windows' GUI is still optimised for 96dpi if you don't want the inconsistencies it still suffers from with the "display scaling" slider. So a 31.5" monitor at 1440p is 93ppi, a very close result to the ideal 96dpi. 27" at 1440 is 109ppi so whilst it's still usable, it's much further from the ideal value of 96dpi and plenty of people seem to complain that everything is too small at native resolution. I don't think they're wrong, either - everything is 12% smaller than Microsoft's 96dpi target and the fact that 27" is physically larger than displays from when those targets were created means that the viewing distance is also likey further away for most people. That combination of "further away" and 12% too small just isn't ideal for anything outside of gaming or watching video where text clarity and UI scaling aren't an issue. Sure, you can survive, but 32" is simply a better size than 27" for the 1440p resolution if you're doing anything other than gaming or watching video.

I upgraded my main 1440p and 2 1080p monitors recently for a crazy good price. Got the 240hz Gigabyte GS27Q-X for $300 and a 170Hz Gigabyte GS27Q for $180. Can you please do a special episode just focused on scanlines? I’m curious as to what mechanisms cause them to occur, how they can sometimes be attributed to panel to panel variation (panel lottery) and why we seem to be seeing this issue more and more with modern LCDs. Personally I find scanlines a dealbreaker, and I’ve seen them on virtually every VA panel I’ve tried, and even an IPS I saw recently (albeit only in motion with VRR).
Sally, the AOC Q27g3mxn’s!price has spiked since early march here in Europe/Sweden. Early march you could pick it up for about 250€ excluding (25% VAT (sales tax). Now it’s about 415€ (still excl. VAT)… I was going to get this as complementary for my 1080p IPS I use for comp gaming. But at that price I’ll just hold off and possibly buy an oled later on.

Thermaltake recently launched monitors. Do you plan on doing reviews on them any time soon? There seems to be only one or two reviews on them till now.
looking for advice, in my region the Samsung Odyssey G7 (27") is available for under 400 USD while the MSI G274QPX is about 370 USD, not sure which one would be "the better deal." Apart from the QC issues and the aggressive curve, is the G7 a compelling option at 400 USD? most of the caveats I've seen from reviews were always from its top-of the line 700+ USD price point. Of course the reality is to consider the deal-breaking QC issues but I'm honestly unsure if Its just that poor a product or if it's salvageable with a reasonable price?
My LG 27GR83Q has been great. Highly recommend

Have you reviewed the innocn 34" qd oled ultrawide ?? It looks pretty good for price.
I'd love for you guys to review some Iiyama monitors, they're very competitive in terms of price and specs but I have no idea how those specs actually hold up to testing.
Hi Tim, Do you recommend the newer M27Q X (rev. 2) or M.S.I.'s G274QPX? Both specs on paper are almost the same, with Gigabyte having a slightly lower response time and the other model having a 27% higher contrast. Price is negligible in Australia ($10 difference). A significant amount of ghosting in the test for the rev. 1 at max refresh rate is my only concern and I am hoping this issue was straightened out in the more recent version.
Hey there Monitors Unboxed. I have a question: Why wasn't the LG 27GS95QE-B ever reviewed by you guys, or included in any of the lists such as this video? The previous version, the 27GR95QE-B, was featured pretty often, so I'm wondering why the refreshed version of it was never mentioned. Cheers :)

How does the XMN compare to the AOC CQ27G3Z 27" Curved Gaming Monitor?, i want a curved monitor with similar specs and you go up to 240 hz but i believe it no longer comes with HDR, nor mini LED, any advice?
I know it's not advisable to go 32" with 1440p, but do you have any recommendations for a budget 240hz 32" monitor ?
I just bought the MSI G274QPF however mine does not show anywhere the -QD as in G274QPF-QD. When I use the Amazon link provided it does link to the -QD model but it also shows I just purchased this one. The Bar Code label does not show the additional -QD nor does the -QD show on the back of the monitor itself. Now I am wondering if perhaps Amazon may have this specific model cross listed incorrectly? non -QD vs -QD model. If it exists. I actually was purchasing, what I thought, was another MAG274QRF-QD to have a matched set on my desktop. I did not notice until I received it it was not the same model. Not sure how I missed it.
the ktc M27T20 is also around 300 dollars but is 576 zones, 1440p, 500nit sdr and 1000 hdr.
