Hello, I created this KZread channel for those interested in pigeons and pigeon keeping. I started out with 4 Birmingham Rollers that I bought at a flea market. So glad I did! They are usually the highlight of my day. I have an extensive background of animal keeping and breeding as well as pigeon keeping and flying. I am also a breeder of high quality German Shepherd dogs which Is also my passion since I was a child. I currently have a flock of Roller Pigeons and many types of high quality racing pigeons. I enjoy club racing and one loft racing very much! I show my lofts, day to day care and flying, and all the accessories that are needed. It will be easy to see how enjoyable the pigeons are from the videos! For those who have been thinking of taking up the pigeon hobby, these videos are a must! For those who are already into pigeons, I am sure you will enjoy my perspectives and birds. Please subscribe, comment, like and share the channel. Thanks, Rocky Ridge Kennel & Loft

Do you have any pure white pigeons for sale? Ideally I am looking for a pair.
@@austinainsworth9141 I do have some for sale. It would be a very young pair. You can email me at: [email protected]

Where did buy flooring?
@@motorfreight450 I got the flooring from a local sheet metal shop that sells all types of metal materials. It’s called 3/4” expanded metal. Hope that helps my friend
@@Rocky.Ridge.Pigeons thank you so you’re helping
This is super cool! How do you train them to go back into the loft? How do they know that they need to push that to get inside?
I want to buy pigeon , how do I contact to buy
@@henrynguyen4369 you can email: [email protected] and this is my website for pigeons for sale: rockyridgepigeons.com/

Nice clip Mike, obviously you have a bit team this year, good luck with the race!
Thank you 😊
The flock looks great Healthy strong CHINO LES
Mike , you have me considering racing. I’ve kept pigeons for 30 years. The guys in local clubs that I met , treat their birds as commodities that have no value other than wins. Listening to your compassion for the birds has me thinking if I met some others like you, I would join a club.
In my club there are a lot of good guys. It’s a good experience as long as you don’t take it too seriously. You definitely don’t have to race them to enjoy them, but each race day is special watching them come in.
You have gained a lot of knowledge since you started the channel. It makes me happy you are enjoying the pigeons.
Nice Flock
Thank you 🙏
When you start first race for 2024 young birds?
Our first race is the third weekend in September so the birds have plenty of time. Thanks for asking.
Great Basketing idea, great video
I’m glad you like it thanks for watching
Watching from philipines ..new friend ser
Thanks for subscribing my friend. I appreciate it.
I always have a good feeling with you. You have everything under control and you have learned something new because you are giving real grain again.
Just want to make sure these young birds have everything they need and don’t want to take any shortcuts at their expense. I make little changes all the time and see how it affects them, but I think I’ve got a good mix at the moment. Thanks for the support, my friend.
these Pakistani high flyers fly well over a mile high. Only reason yours are flying low is that they see racers as droppers. Droppers work great of these high flyers. You also need to train them for landing in dark using lights, check out how Joe at moatside loft does it and how he uses droppers.
Thank you very much. I will have to check it out.
Love the vido Mike as always.birds look great
Thank you I appreciate it
Great video Mike!! Love watching them!
Thanks for watching and supporting the channel my friend
Great video Mike. Your birds are looking good as always. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Thomas, hope all is well at the White House! Haven’t seen any updates lately. Hope the birds are all good.
@@Rocky.Ridge.Pigeons Mike all is well. I still have the birds. Still planning on getting out of the business. I have been busy working and not alot of time to be with the birds.
the release point between the trees loks great. would be good to video it from the other end as they fly towards the camera
Yes, that would be nice. They could just slide the door open and back up. Thanks for the idea.
Wow Mike. What a great video. I think I’ve seen all your videos. And definitely a million other racing pigeon videos. But you nailed it in this one.
Thank you for the compliment and support my friend.
We had our 500 mile race today. From what I hear there was 0 day birds. Tough day
may i make a suggestion about the landing on the house. how bout nxt time before you let them out, place some items on the house roof, to encourage them to land staright on the loft
That sounds like a really good idea. Thank you.
Awesome video as usual Mike! I love how you speak your mind, and as a listener it's as if I'm sitting right next to you sitting at that spot drinking coffee too 😂. You're absolutely right, do what YOU think is right and yes the birds will tell you a lot if one pays attention. Love the way you load the birds into the truck 😉
Thanks for the nice comment, my friend. I hope your flock is doing good . Have a great weekend 👍
Dats a nice flock of birds.😊

@@kennethcross5572 wow! TY!
Just a little update on the bird I called in on Tuesday. It returned yesterday, Sunday. When it saw the carrier it was like a switch went on and it took off in the direction of home. Hope it made it!
This past Tuesday I had a racer stop into my garage. Seeing the bands, caught it and called in the band. Two hours later the owner was here to pick it up. As an avid chicken breeder this was a unique look into a different bird hobby. Now I have two racer/breeder contacts. Absorbing as much as I can.
@@thesquirrelyprepperlifesty5523 i’m glad you got the bird back to its owner safely and you will enjoy Pigeons my friend. They are absolutely fascinating. Have fun but be careful once you get into Pigeons it’s a lifelong hobby.🤩
Do the high Flyers ever fly with the homers? It seems like they have a completely different flying style.
👍🏽
You’re going to have a blast flying those Pakistani high flyers!
So good
Nice bird
"100 reasons why you cam loose a bird" --- AND ADDING TO THAT EVERY DAY. LOL Great job brother
Well done mate Excellent team young 2024 ❤
Dear sir i have almost all my life Pakistani high flying pigeons, please less corn and grain for the rest everything is good to give, and don't forget the minerals because they loved it i mean grits if you wanna to follow my advice don't fly the baby Pakistani with their first plumage because 60% is the possibility to lose one, cut the feathers with a scissor after three months you can remove the feathers and then you can fly them, what you have is teddy pigeons and they can fly unbelievably long take care and have a lot of fun.
for food that falls through the floor, what cleans it up?
@@equatorialcat4569 good question, there’s an army of squirrels around here that keeps it nice and clean under all the lofts
do you ever send young racing pigeons to fly high with pakistanis?
I let them all out at the same time, but they stay far away from each other. The Pakistani’s don’t fly directly. They just kind of hover.
How the roller doing?
They are doing well I just taking a break from flying them this year, but I’ll get back to it next year. I miss flying them a lot.
Sliver Homer baby look beautiful Chino Les
