I see my ballerinas school in this video!!!! PNB 🩰. Summer intensives are so important to keep up the dancers training and staying in shape. A dancer should always go somewhere that will challenge them and for training they can’t necessarily get at their own studio/school. My dancer has trained with some of the top summer intensives, and has grown and worked hard.

It really doesn't matter if all of those boys are gay. They won't be, but even if they are it's OK to be a gay man.

Nicolai Tsiskaridze is genuinely disturbed by the overall direction in the ballet world outside Russia to downgrade story telling which people love for parodies like Alice in Wonderland by Christopher Wheeldon. And he is the best we have! And Nicolai Ratmansky - he worked with the Kirov in Russia? Surely all is not lost! We still have Nicolai teaching pre-Imperial Russian dance in the 21st century. He is a master teacher, for he has performed all he teaches. He knows his 15 or 16 year old boys, while amazing to my eye, can't perform the high elevations he did - look at his legs. They need to grow to become 20, and then they have hope. He does as much as he can with delicate porcelain. Anyone who thinks he is too tough on students - see his devotion in this video. He cares.

I performed in the nutcracker when I was little and every year we put it on a girl in drag did the Trepak I remember the first year one of my favorite girls did it and after I ran up and gave her a hug. ❤

Trepak is a Russian (not "Ukrainian") dance. The definition of “Ukrainian,” like Ukraine itself (as a state), appeared only in 1922 (as a republic within the USSR) and in 1991 as a separate state. Until 1922, there was no “Ukraine”, as well as the name “Ukrainian”. During the era of the Russian Empire, parts of these territories were called “Little Russia” (north) and “Novorossiya” (south and Crimea). Gopak is a Little Russian variety of the Great Russian trepak.
