Roger how relevant would that be in Ireland beaches? Does the seasonal aspect count and has impact on the possible catch?

I'm guessing this is a Aussie film. If this fish is mullet, then what do you call Kahawai? If this was NZ your larger fish would be called yellow eyed Kahawai, that are only caught in salt water not lakes like this. The heads of your mullet are the same as our Kahawai which can never be caught on any lines, our mullet are grass eaters their heads do not look like yours. Good size fish would be great to be bottled with tomatoes, a very tasty way of keeping them for latter months.

In my rod mentioned casting weight 20 to 60g what's the size sinker I can use. Is Number 3 sinker ok or kills?

Great job Jett - only one small piece of advice - treat the smallest of fish with the same care and attention as bigger fish - release them gently in the water rather than tossing them - better for the fish & will get you the reputation of the best of fishermen! 🤙

Great video and love the content! I have watched most of your videos about rigs and can’t seem to find any showing this particular rig with two hooks and a running sinker between them. I would love to see an up close photo or demonstration on how you rig up this way.

I would NEVER leave the beach if we had that sort of fishing on our door step. My beaches have herring (tommy rough) almost always, a few tailor (but nothing to write home about), lots of mullet a certain times of the year...., but big fish (flathead over 1 kg don't exist (very very rarely) here in WA 😭..., and Mulloway (where I live) are almost non existant as well.

I guess you could use this technique of a sandy beach on an outgoing tide, but from what I read, that may not be the best part of the tide or maybe an incoming towards a high tide in an estuary?? 75 year old beginner here.. Thanks for your content.
