If you want to see an engineering marvel, check out the Stillwater bridge over the St Croix river. Way cooler.

I've been to Minnesota in Twin Cities but some thunderstorms are coming to the city with chance of rains like thundershowers, scattered thunderstorms, isolated, and heavy like hail

I’ve driven the Bong bridge once. Made many trips across the old Arrowhead bridge. Lived and worked in Superior in the 70’s.

Wow! Very well done video. I remember the first time I ever encountered the new I-35 extension through downtown Duluth. I thought (and still think) it was awesomely done! Are they ever going to continue I-35 north (east) out of Duluth?

Only 3.5 years??? In North Carolina that project would have taken 6-8 years....and you all up in MN have 5 months of winter where construction is slowed significantly.

I remember at one time, the interstate highway bridge was quadroplexed with 4 interstate routes - 44, 55, 64 & 70. I would be interested in collecting the sign that had showed that quadroplex.

The road from Houlton to Stillwater is now a hiking/biking trail, the old bridge is for pedestrian traffic. Going out 36 you can see how built up it is along that route now days.

I really like the ambiance along the expressway at night. It has since been changed with the installation of cool white LED lighting, which makes it difficult to see at night because they're so bright.

In the late 70s I worked in Edina just across the street from Southdale and lived just a few blocks from MN-100 in St. Louis Park off Minnetonka Boulevard. The only rough part of the commute was the traffic light at 36th St., which usually was a 10 minute delay (worse during winter snow). Glad they finally built an overpass there, but after I left. I got a chance to meet Al Franken once. A totally execrable human being. And the Coen brothers' father Ed was an economics professor at the U of M, whose class in environmental economics I once took. He was a great guy, but very weird in class. So sorry to read about Brookdale, but seems like the fate of the rest of Brooklyn Center (remember Daunte Wright?). I hope the other Dales (South*, Ridge*, and Rose*) are still thriving.

I lived in Roseville for 2 1/2 years, and Twin Cities for eight. Those curves are nothing compared to the white knuckle interchange in S Mpls between County Road 62 and I-35W, otherwise known as "Blood Alley".
