Thank god, I thought it was just a "me" kind of problem. Sometimes I feel as if I'm being overwhelmed with school and homework that I can't even enjoy my time at home. I know some teachers are also being overwhelmed with work, but PLEASE don't use the excuse: "If you're tired, then I am more tired than you" Yeah , we know that, but that is not going to help us learn and feel curious about subjects that we actually love. And one more thing, School start times. The current system is asking for problems. In primary, you feel sleepy and the teacher will yell at you In secondary, your parent can still send you to school. However, the moment you get your car or motorcycle license, you're dancing with death.A sleepy student controlling any vehicle in the morning when other people are going to work is about to cause a few accidents. In tertiary education, if the school time is long and the homework is longer, you can say goodbye to a few years of your lifespan. Yes, I know the argument. "If the school time change to later time, I cannot send my child to school on time. Otherwise, I will be late for work" If that is the case, then our public transportation should also be investigated in order to assist our population. We should consider having later start times and shorter school times so that our younger generations can enjoy the last few years of being young. If the quality of teachers were to improve, then later start times, shorter school times and less homework wouldn't be a problem.

Great Rant. Vietnam has a "homogeneous society". The Best Schools are in the Cities and Towns of Malaysia. Chinese Schools thrived with Millions of Donations teaching Chinese and Chinese Culture. I was rejected by Chung Ling High School for being Indian. Rural Schools were for poor Malays and Rubber Estate had poor schools up to Standard 6. Indians then became rubber tappers or gangsters in the cities??? Chinese Malaysians drum their children to LEARN their text books and LEAVE Malaysia to US or NZ and do not come back??
Now in recent decades US "colonised" the world by putting sanctions on any country that not follow its instructions. Any country that make significant profit from any product would be boycott by the westerners thru any reason. For examples Malaysia and Indonesia palm oil production get boycot by westerners in the name of desteoying forest and wild animals habitat yet the western countries already almost balded in advance for decades.
