Your Adorable , I finally convince my Family after I have been living in South Florida for 71 years , to move in that area of Blairsville , Hayesville , Murphy to escape the Hot weather and the craziness of Florida . Even my grown son wants to move . We are planning on moving up there hopefully at the end of this year , as we will be putting are house on the market . As at my old age , I still ride motorcycles as I have 4 differant ones and can't wait to ride my new Indian up there , as I been there a few times and know some good places to ride . I am a Pastor and retired , and my wife is much involved with the church in the town we live in Sebastian Fl . We are active with the food bank for the needy . We will miss our Church Family and friends , but we will come back down to visit during the Winter Months . We like so far the Hayesville , Murphy area , but I love Blairsville too . Hope to find a good church up there , Pastor Ray Ruggiero , Sebastian Florida .
$100,000 1 acre no house? That's very expensive. Is north GA kind of yuppified like Colorado mountains?
You can find stuff less than $100k, but not typically with a view. General acreage no view will run $30-75k per acre, depending on how good and buildable the land is….the easier to build on the more expensive it is. If you want a view, typically looking at $100k or more.
In Oregon it dropped -15 one year. You get used to it and wear thermals. Plus it's a dry cold out west.
I don’t know that I could get used to that, lol.
I want to move there so bad!!! I really wish I could. Just somewhere north GA. I miss the Oregon winters and seasons, but I don't miss Oregon. I want to stay in the south. I hate Florida lol. I miss mountains and snow but don't want to go too far north by Canada. No crazy blizzards. Just nice snow. I love the solitude there. I'm in the country in FL and it takes 15-20 min to get to town. 10 to a gas station. You get used to it.
North GA is nice for sure! Away from the hustle and bustle of the city life. Winters here are manageable.
Does it snow at all that way in North GA ?
Yes, we do get snow sometimes. It’s usually flurries, and on occasion if it’s more than that, it’s usually gone by the following day at noon. Every once in a while we’ll have enough accumulation to last a few days.
@@higherelevationsrealestate We live in Myrtle Beach now . Hate it ! Getting way over developed and traffic is a NIGHTMARE . We love Ellijay so ill be calling you soon :)
@@anthonylamura8600 sounds good! I'd love to help you!
nice
Outlying, not outer-lying. Other than that, thanks for the helpful info!
Do you know where I could find a list of all the county’s in north GA that are STR friendly?
I don't believe there will be a place that has a list like this. Generally speaking, Ellijay (Gilmer County) allows STRs, as long as you are outside the city limits of East Ellijay, Blue Ridge (Fannin County) allows them, as long as outside the city limits of downtown Blue Ridge, Blairsville (Union County) has lifted the moratorium, but has put a limit of the number allowed within the county (they still have licenses available), Young Harris/Hiawassee (Towns County) allows them, and Dahlonega (Lumpkin County) allows them. These are my main areas of expertise. Any other counties would have to be contacted to find out what their rules and regulations are, as each county is different.
Looking
I stumbled across the town this couple of years ago.... Spent several weeks there. Definitely a place I'll be looking at when I retire
It’s lovely here!!
Sounds like Georgia has way to many restrictions. Way too many regulations. Too much government. Nope. Lots of unrestricted land in New Mexico
Build back into the hill. Monolithic Dome.
HOA. I'm gone. NEVER live in an HOA. They should be banned
great work mrs. Rodriguez........
Thank you!
Newcomers should be sure to tell locals how great the area they came from is and how we can fix our area so it suits you better.
The problem with Jasper is the old lady here who walks the streets with a baseball bat, knives, and a little dog. She makes a living trying to get hit by cars, but also going on to other people's properties and trying to get their dogs to bite her. LE in town knows all of this, they will even tell you they know she's full of it, but they don't care enough about it to bring her up on fraud or public nuisance charges. Also, the town is out of water.
I fell in love with Georgia after working on a movie, Farmer and the Belle: Saving Santaland in Chicamauga. Since then I have driven the backroads all the way to Mobile.
I own 6 acres right across from old Toccoa farms. I was wondering on how to get funding to invest in my property? Thanks and keep the videos coming
Thanks for watching! What exactly do you mean about funding to invest in your property? Are you referring to starting to build a home on your property and getting funding for that?
@@higherelevationsrealestate there is a home currently on the property but looking to renovate that one and build another next to it. It’s located off of Curtis Switch and N.Toccoa River Road.
LOOKING FOR A 3br, 2ba with 2 - 5 acres (farmable) in north Georgia. Where is it and how much?
Hmm, that’s a loaded question. I’d love to see if I can help you, please contact me directly and I’m happy to see what I can find! Thanks!!
How much are these tiny homes?
At the time, these were on the market for around $220k.
You're out doing the competition. Great job. I'm an expert up there and I predict Suches will become the next Dahlonega. It needs some grocery stores, coffee cafes, high tech 24 hour hospital and infrastructure. The main draw is it's less hot in summer than any town in Georgia!!! Winter's are same as others but summers are perfect. This will attract people with $$$. Why? Go ahead and TRY to find anywhere in the south with perfect summers. Sure, Boonesville NC BUT the winters are freezing and elevation a little too high. Keep your eye on Suches. Would be smart to buy long term land deals while the buy'ins good. Hope you get to a vid on Murrayville soon ...
Thank you!! Interesting take on Suches, but I could see it, if they will bring some businesses there. It’s such a remote town, but definitely beautiful! I’ll look into Murrayville, thanks for the tip!
McCaysville😍😍😍😍
It’s such a cute little town!
@@higherelevationsrealestate indeed! I regret bypassing it on my last adventure in the area😔… but next time 🤩!
No price? No interest.
These look great. Is there any property for sale and what are their parameters?
There are properties for sale, but they all vary in size and price. Feel free to contact me if you’re interested in buying something and I can take a look for the criteria that fits your needs.

This was a great video. So much info. I really appreciated it. Thank you ladies.
Glad you enjoyed it!
When can seedlings go out? Your last snow? Thank you.
I don’t have a green thumb, so I never plant anything….i can’t keep it alive. 😆 Generally speaking, the best time for planting is early spring and fall.
You are astute. Looks quite fun.
Thanks for the great tour.
Looking to explore the area for retirement. Great video.
Thanks! Blairsville is a great town! Please let me know if I can help!!
They should have to take pics FROM the property, and not zoomed up, anymore than what your normal eyes would see.
Blairsville G.A Mean Horrible Local People!!! One poor woman that always wears a Green Bandana Records How mean these people were. Her Mother was K--led and she had to live with her Mothers k--ler or be homeless . They took her land when she needed cataract surgery , she didn't get a penny. Almost the whole town is her mothers ki--lers family and they do what he says. Luckily thanks to someone that lives far away ,she was able to get eye surgery . But people especially her family are really mean to her, even nurses . They think she's gay, (well some do) She's recorded how mean people are. She has her cellphone on record when she goes out in public.
Do you cover Mountain City and Cleveland?
I don’t cover Mountain City, as it’s pretty far for me, but I do cover Cleveland. 😊
We're looking to move there within six months.😊Fom Florida, but I'm originally from NC, and my husband is from IL. We're excited!🎉
That is awesome! I’d love to help, if I can, please feel free to reach out!
We will definitely do that.
I love your husband jamming!❤
He’s quite the character! 😆
Any info or experience with trinity homes in ellijay?
No, I don’t have any experience with Trinity Homes.
Would like to know the price
$39,900
Amazing 😊 ❤ Land
Do not use the locals for anything they will disappoint you
Terrible Georgia towns. No old school neighborhoods no old school restaurants just white people. Boring. No ethnic markets no ethnic food just white boring people beige beige beige.
More videos like this !❤😊
Thanks! Trying to come up with some more video ideas, like market updates and what you can get for your money. 😊
We spent a week in Dahlonega and fell in love with the entire North GA. We are considering moving as well😊
Dahlonega is such a cute mountain town! I’d love to see if I can help you if/when you decide to make the move. The mountains are the BEST!! ❤️
Definitely!.
...Excellent video & very well produced, thank you...Just a 10-hour drive from Naples fl....Love the mountains just outside of town & can't wait to explore the possibility of a seasonal snowy Winter cabin... ...Artist, Old Naples Florida🌴🎨

Any recommendation for a realtor in Murphy NC?
Hi Luis, I might. What are you looking for - land or a home?
What towns should retired Californians move to, and the wife doesn't like to be too secluded. She might still want to work PT as a RN.
lot of people moved from California to Nashville Tn or the Charlotte
