Just watched this. Omg egg!!
Was wondering why you didn't put drawers on both sides, then saw that it was placed against wall. Since you designed the top to come off, to recover that lost toy, I thought it might be a good idea to put the drawers on the back side also to use for some additional long term storage. Older kids for winter clothes, out of season sports items, or even Christmas decorations and such, but leave drawer pulls off. As to the center supports, my 4 year old granddaughter would require these for the S.H.I.T.S. bed jumping (she is not allowed to do, but insists is fun.) I love the simplicity of the design, and plan to build something like this. I will probably add a bookcase headboard to allow her to keep her books somewhere safe. As she grows I can add an outlet so she can charge her tablet and phone.
what was the final cost of this pergola build?
Around $700, but lumber prices were higher back then.
Amazing!
Could this method be used as a mount for a freestanding pergola or pergola kit?
I want to try this, would it be possible to get plans for a 3/4 bed
good video but I pour more milk on my breakfast than u put in that barrow fist time lol
I’ll bet a year later with all that lumber in that dry heat it looks like absolute hammered shit. That stuff is not meant to be used that way. It’s meant to go on the ground, but it’s meant to keep the bugs away and not rot where there’s high humidity.. people have no idea what the fuck they’re doing
El Paso maybe??
Amateur !
What was the overall cost to build this?
I believe it was about $800 total.
More water in the mix, no reason to use fast setting mix.,You have more time to work to be sure there are voids inside the sonotube with normal setting concrete.
Awesome idea! Hubby and I are excited that this might be an answer to the litter dust issue!!!
That was what my wife hated the most about the litter box. This is her favorite project that I've done!
Thank you for your teaching sir I’m building something similar for my granddaughter. Your work is amazing and I’m glad to see that you have been able to share your knowledge experience
Good luck!
Hey y’all this is a DYI project calm down. Thanks for sharing. Love that property line stonewall.
do you do the same with bleach as with vinegar (ie put a glass of bleach in the empty washer and run a cycle)?
I have not done that with bleach. I usually spray the inside with bleach and wipe it down.
How long did you waited for it to dry before putting up the pergola?
I let it dry for a week before I started the pergola
👍
that fence wall is every homeowner dream.
Which brand are you using for 90 degree corner clamps?
What's the name of that fabric you used.. I need to order some but i need a name to order it, or a description of it, thanks
Ok…there is so many options here,it’s a pergola
Excellent job & great edit! Thanks for capturing.
Thanks man easy fix
I love the triangular shape to fit into the corner.
nice cause that steucture isnt going to fly away in the wind 👍
Thanks! Nice job.
"your a good pops!"
After making this and having it for a few years, have there been any issues with leaving a 1/16" gap around the drawer face? Did it every swell or get difficult to operate?
One of the benefits of plywood is that it's more dimensionally stable than solid wood. I did end up selling it not too long ago during a move, but all the drawers were operating well at the time.
S.H.I.T.S 😂
That small screw in the beginning is for metal, you shouldn't ever use these for wood
Bed looks great! Would love to see how you did the tree and ceiling!
Thank you for the comment! We didn't video tape making the tree, but we wrote a blog post about how we did it. www.householdhowto.com/post/forest-room
Wow, this really!!!! Thank you so much!
There's only works on doors with two Hinges And don't use cardboard Use a washer
Thanks for the video. I’ve been looking for something simple like this. I’m interested in the plans. I didn’t find them available on your website.
how many of each piece of hardware did you use?
What do I do if I can’t fit a 3 inch screw because the other end has a small section of glass?
Use a 2 inch its better than an inch
Congratulations, you shaded your wall. I dont understand why people build these worthless "covers".
I NEVER out raw egg into the dishwasher. Theyll get a quick wash with liquid dawn then they go in..
Why use the pigtails? Couldn't you just attach the new wire directly to the old outlet?
I wish someone can build this to me 😓
🎉
This is why you get someone that knows what they’re doing to do the job for you.
The math is very easy. Here is the simple step-by-step approach… #1 IDENTIFY and name all the relevant variables … g = gap width d = divider piece width L = total Length #2 form the EQUATION that describes the physical situation … From left to right, we are constructing it like this…. d + g + d + g + d + g + d = L Or we could have just jumped straight to this eqivalent equation… 4d + 3g = L #3 Now we need to SOLVE for ‘g’ (the unknown variable) start with … 4d + 3g = L subtract 4d from both sides, to get … 3g = L - 4d divide both sides by 3 to get … g = (L - 4d) / 3 This is our answer. We could have jumped straight to this, because it is just telling us the obvious, i.e. to “Subtract the total width of all the dividers from the total length of the unit so we are left with the total gap space; then divide that by three so we have three equal measurements.”
You can also do it by lining up the pieces in a different way to the way that you did it and taking only one measurement: line up all the divider pieces at one end of the long piece and measure how much is left. Divide that by three.
Duuuude that concrete is WAY too dry, you didn't rod the mix as you were filling the tube (to eliminate any voids), and that anchor bolt no doubt has voids around it since you hammered it into dry mix and barely filled the open slot it left! I hope it lasts for you.
Profesh! Not the dancing, the bed. Hahahahaha. Great video. Great job.
How were you able to get away with that wall? I live on an island in Georgia on the main road coming on to the island. You think i could get away with this? Without pulling a permit?
You need more water!
Perfect..finally found just what I visioned.. Thanks😊
"He's crazy"...with a 4 and 5 year old...i feel that 😅
