I ordered the radiator from the link above and it’s actually the 28 inch core 34inch overall so it will not work with electric fans got mine up fs if anyone in the dallas,Tx area is staying with their fan clutch.

Is it difficult to get the plastic hose off the original pump? I need to replace the OEM pump without buying a whole module. Other videos say the hose needs to be cut off. Are new plastic feed hoses available? I noticed the short black hose in the kit. 2003 1500

No it’s not difficult to just replace the pump itself. You most likely will need to cut the original hose off, I had to as well. The walbro 450 does come one but I don’t remember if it’s long enough. In one of my earlier videos I did one on a quantum 340 pump I think and it came with the hose and that one work great.

This is sick also a question I’m running a 6.0 lq9 with 243 heads and a stage 3 came with 50lb injectors on a tbs intake on my 2003 Chevy Silverado what fuel pump should I get don’t want e85 might just run 91

Thanks man, we’ll really depends on what your power goals are. But the quantum 340 pump that we used before on the truck was a great pump or like a walbro 350 and it still gives you a little room for extra fuel if you need it down the road. Also even if you run an e85 pump you’re still fine to just run pump gas on it like 91 and if you ever decide to run e85 you’re set. But yeah really depends on the power you want which will determine what pump size you want to run.

Nice video. Would you do anything differently if you did it again? I have a 05 4x4 Yukon 5.3L. 233,000 miles. Looking to get a used cheap broken 4L60/65/70 to rebuild with my teen as a DIY learning project. To have ready. I found a used one for $60, with nothing but Reverse working. Thanks!

That’s awesome, got to get them started young haha. Honestly I don’t have much to complain about I’m pretty happy with the results. If had to choose some stuff I probably would have upgraded the clutch steels to kolene steels and as well as some other upgrades in the transmission but then again if you’re doing a factory rebuild it’s kind of irrelevant. But yeah just addressing common issues, just to make it that more reliable.

There is, No bro you don’t need to change out your transmission. If you get an aggressive cam you would need to change out your torque converter in the transmission. But there are cams that you don’t need to do that just throw the cam in and your on your way. I believe like the chopacabra from Texas speed you can just throw it in and go. And some other cams as well.

The brand a I went with is SEM color coat. It’s a flexible paint good for interiors and plastics. Also if you do, make sure to get the adhesion promoter to ensure good adhesion.

How would I do this with a return style, would I just use the corvette filter with the stock fuel rail from the tbss.

Yeah if you’re using a tbss manifold with the stock fuel rails. You can either use a regulator like us and have the side ports feed the rail and use the bottom port for your return line. And if you use a corvette filter same thing feed to the rail and the return port to your return.
