On one side they could have let the law deal with them but the chances are devil ans and the others feared they wouldn’t get true justice unless they did it themselves

Some of the guys here at the fire department were digging up some old history of the department and we came across this video and we were hoping that you could tell us where the reservoir in the video would be located hoping that we could try to find it? We would greatly appreciate it and thanks in advance!

The McCoys began shooting. The fire stated from the 8lbs of black powder stored in the cabinet of the kitchen from a spark from one of their firearms. The McCoys should have just came out peacefully and negotiated a peace treaty putting an end to the feud for ever.

Lowgap and Buffalo trail. Present-day mountain parkway route 114 between sayreville and prestonburg. Lowgap at ivington makes easy travel from licking River to big Sandy. Buffalo use this Gap in migrating thus forming Buffalo Trace, Indian path. Used by dr. Thomas Walker and later Boone.

I grew up in Pikesville Ky. I'm kin to the McCoy's on my grandmothers side. I just think it is really sad what Randall went through. The man lost all most all his children. His wife was never the same. But that wasn't enough pain for this man. After everything he went through he burned to death. Devil Ans dies in his sleep. Why was Randall's life hell on earth? I know the feud was both family's fault but I believe poor Randall got the worst of it. I'm so proud to be related to him. I hope he finally found some peace.

I do not believe Anse Hatfield would give orders or even condone shooting women and girls as they were non-combatants and viewed as the weaker sex. So it must have been one of the other men who said to shoot whoever came out the door.

  • @jimmyharris2204

Jim Vance was framed after he was murdered. There were no warrants for his arrest. He was in Pike County for a court case during the time he was supposed to be hiding out with the Hatfields before the cabin raid. He would never have gone to Pike County for court if he was wanted there. Johnse was on trial for murder so he lied about it all being Jim Vance's idea to raid the cabin. So did the others who took part in the raid.
