Pike Countians at Pearl Harbor

Today, December 7, 2021, marks the 80th Anniversary of the Attack on Pearl Harbor that resulted in the deaths of over 2,000 Sailors and Marines and brought the United States into World War II. In this Pikeville History Moments video, we tell the stories of four young Sailors from Pike County who were there that day. These were Harding Coolidge Blackburn; Jack C. Buckley; Millard Burk, Jr.; and Glen Homer Robinson. We hope this story honors the service and sacrifice given by them and their brothers in arms.

Thank you for making this video. It was beautifully done. If you decide to do another one on pearl harbor you should look into Fred Kinney. He was the son of George Washington Kinney and bandmaster on the Arizona. Fred was lost on that day as well.
