1918 Spanish Flu in Pike County Part 1

Today we’re talking about the 1918 Flu Pandemic and what it looked like in Pike County at the time. It’s become common to hear comparisons to the 1918 Influenza Pandemic which was also, of course, known as the “Spanish Flu.” We started wondering what that pandemic was like for the people who were living in our area at the time and how their experiences compare with the situation we have today. After watching this video we hope you’ll join us for the next video in this series where we examine some differences in how the two pandemics affected the area.

Puke county? Who writes these articles? The grammar is horrible on your videos. Do the schools there not teach proper spelling?
