As a Team Enstone fan since getting serious about watching F1 in about 2013 (when Kimi came back), after Kimi, Nico is easily the driver I've been closest to wanting to barrack for in his own right rather than just because he was the driver that drove for my team. He's also the only one other than Kimi I've really continued to give a crap about after he left. Says something given the success some of the others had, and that I'm from Perth same as Danny Ric.

Great video Aldas! I might have an interesting video idea which suits your style of videos very well. "Was Steiner a good team principal?" Everyone was so hyped about him because of DTS, but I honestly think he was part of the problem at Haas and they should have gotten rid of him earlier. I like Guenther's character, but I find it hard to believe he was a good team principal

This just tells me that Audi isn't expecting much in their first years. You don't hire a career midfield driver as your first pick if you have top team ambitions out of the gate.

Imagine social media when this man scores a podium. Just wish the stewards waited a little bit longer to pull out the red flag in Australia 2023, and it would have happened.

For people holding the no podium stat against him, here are a few examples of podium-scorers that show it's not a way to judge the merit of a driver: Romain Grosjean Kevin Magnussen Daniil Kvyat Takuma Sato Vitaly Petrov Lance Stroll Tiago Monteiro Pedro De La Rosa Pastor Maldonado Kamui Kobayashi Alex Albon (pre-return with Williams) Don't think you can argue those drivers are more talented or showed more promise than Hulkenberg. Just unlucky not to get a top drive, where similar calibre drivers have such as Sainz, Bottas, Perez, Webber, Barrichello, Massa etc.

He's definitely always been a top 10 driver on the grid. You can't say that Ocon was an upgrade at Renault, but Ocon was young and French and in fairness to him, has capitalised on those crazy situations where Hulkenberg in the past hasn't. I also feel if he was racing in 2020, he would have got a podium, because every midfield driver was getting a podium that year following the downfall of Ferrari and the struggles of Albon in the 2nd Red Bull seat.

IMO, F1 is a great sport with my two most best drivers in F1 Max and Lewis. Also thanks to @ Aldas for this great and well explained video of max and lewis dominace. Looking out in their rookie section lewis started 2007 in f1 and ended 2nd in the drivers championship with just one point aganist kimi and that time he to face alonso his teammate who won divers championship in 2006 then vettel, button and his secon year in F1 he won the drivers championship. On the other hand Max started in 2015 and ended the season 12th in the drivers championship and had to wait and 6years b4 wining his first drivers championship which is still controversial till this point. At their stating phase in their career with less experience Lewis had a great start in f1 than Max. Nevertheless as experience begins to creep in Max is now one of the best driver in F1 and he is 26 😱😱Hamilton has been a beast since he was a rookie and the the silver wars was there to show for it , yes Lewis makes alot of errors but mehn he can drive , coming back from 14th positon to first at vettel home grand prix (Germany 2018) which he took pole was insane and some other incredible races with rosberg his teamate. Giving with what F1 is today Max has smashed F1 and pocketed it , yh even though Red Bull is doing a great job as a team it also depends on the driver as you can see Perez is no-where near max but Perez was so good in his days at racing point. F1 is nno more edgy as it used to be b4 in the days of silvers wars or vettel and hamilton positions always changing incredible overtakes rival crashes and so many more but now any time I watch F1 and see that Max is first out of the first corner of any Grand Prix that is the end of my grand prix for me cause he is one of the drivers in F1 history with less mistakes from his side just like a ''ROBOT" , so what other drivers fight for is second and third with a leading gap of 20+ seconds over the same car Red Bull is just so insane. And this is not his fault because Max is so good that not only after the grand prix he still races online. Like what @Aldas said in the video, drivers in this era saying he is the best can also cause performance drop from them that is why there isnt much pressure from other drivers and i beleive it too. I love the both drivers cause the are both good, but with equal performed cars like we saw in 2021 season makes f1 fun to watch. IMO judging from the 2021 season in brazil grand orix hamilton was a man on a mission. In a rivarly where ur opponent is first and u started last during sprint gained alot of places and at the main race started behind the points and still comeback to overtake your rival in first place and leading with a gap is unreal to me . If it comes to equal car performance i think Lewis is a bit better, I would not say much better because Max is really good . But as it stands now if it continues like this Max will defintely break all of hamilton records b4 he retires from F1. This is my say, feel free to let me know where I am wrong . we learn new things everyday.

might be that top teams consider his size and weight a problem,if they can have a smaller lighter driver, how is almost as good. I think he is brilliant, and hope he ends up like Mansell did.

Many details were given in the comments but I did not notice what had struck me the most at the time which was that after the death of his wife, Van Rossem decided to cryogenically freeze her body so that she could be healed in the future. Ultimately, no municipality in Flanders accepted his project and two years later, he buried her in the traditional way.

Sounds funny when ppl say Max doesn't make mistakes. Ppl easily forget that few years back he was The Crashtappen. . Current Red Bull is so quick that there is no need to push; thus no driving on the limit and obviously no reason to make mistakes. Put Max in a midfield car & pretty soon this no mistake guy of today will become the older Crashtappen of the past

I think it was in 2014, when the commentators of the channel I watched F1 on back then called Nico Hülkenberg the "favourite rival" of Alonso, because they were battling across many races of the season in the upper midfield, with Ferrari and Force India being somewhat equal in speed. They seem to have battled quite respectfully, so it sounds totally believable Alonso praising Hülkenberg.

Hulk has thrown away a lot of great chances of achievements but his comebacks have been nothing short of astonishing, putting a Haas into Q3. There was a stretch of races where he consistently beat Perez last year… Perez in the almighty RB, Hulk in the Haas. Also, that year when he joined Porsche to race at LeMans, again he was highly inexperienced, yet he beat Webber straight up who was in equal machinery.

there was more to Mclarens upgrades than just they had a lower base with more headroom. McLaren obviously have good correlation and good understanding of ground effect era cars - Mercedes dont seem to have either. The thing McLaren and Ferrari do that Mercedes dont, is to be willing to start the season with a very base car, saving resources that get directed to structured upgrade program

It’s such a shame too, because yuki is actually a pretty good and consistent driver, his chances of actually living up to that potential are very slim. The chance of him staying in f1 for long too, are also pretty small. I just hope another team would notice his potential.

"he'll never be one of the best drivers on the grid" I'd argue that he's better than Tsunoda, Stroll, Ocon, Magnussen, Zhou, Bottas, Gasly, Sargeant, and possibly also Ricciardo (if the Miami sprint was a fluke), Hamilton (if he isn't able to re-find his form from previous years), Albon (if the Williams isn't actually as bad as the pace makes it look), and Perez (if it's really just the car that's allowing him to do so well). I'd rank Hulkenberg about the middle of the field.
