The gap isnt as big as it looks...but it might be close to what it was last year...wich is a shame because it should have been closer

Barely anyone who knows anything about f1 thinks that, these times are still 3 seconds off last years pole, the gaps still aren't clear yet, because all teams have 3 or 4 seconds in hand, so all it takes is for one team to have 4.1 seconds in hand to be ahead. Of course I do think that red bull will have the advantage but the gap is not 1.1 seconds, as Marko predicts, maybe 3 tenths maximum. Because no one else did more than 3 push laps, whereas Max did up to 6, in much more representative and cooler conditions, which over exaggerated the gap.

@doargietweitervandah no it is not, don't be so deluded, it is testing, red bull went for 6 fast laps, the others went for maximum of 3 much earlier in the session and without chasing performance. This is how testing goes, Alfa Romeo were fastest in testing last year, and of course they weren't actually fastest. Again, all teams have 4 seconds to find, the limit of the car is decided by that, but nothing can be told yet because everyone is running different engine modes, different fuels loads, which can add seconds to laptimes. Again, you new f1 fans should stop trying to comment on testing when you clearly know nothing about how it works.

@armilotheus no, the three second gap is because it IS TESTING you absolute dts fan, as for the compounds the c3 is the soft compound of last years Bahrain, don't comment on f1 if you don't understand the basic things. The fact that you're reading into testing shows how little you know about the sport. As for mediums vs soft laptimes, the difference would be 7 tenths, not 3 seconds, but I repeat, the c3s today were the same compound that the soft was last year in Bahrain. As for your testing comparasion, that means even less to compare testing from a different year because again, completely different run plans. If a Haas wanted to today it could have done a 1:30 with no issue, because all teams are sandbagging like crazy, again, they all are running 3 or 4 seconds slower than their cars potential because it is testing and laptimes mean nothing in comparison to other teams

Max Verstappen's driving skill combined with the absolute genius of Adrien Newey is going to completely destroy the legacy of every upcoming driver until he retires at this rate.

Nah man max Can win 24 races in a row it dosent matter if hé is competing against no one.. Perez is below average driver. His car is the most dominant of all time. Before talking of max as a goat hé needs to win a Championship in another team, beat a World Champion in the same car, and win atleast 7 titles🤷

Definitely some psychological warfare going on here. We won't have a real sense of how the cars stake up to each other until quali, but Red Bull definetly wants everyone to feels as behind as they ever did right now

There's a 3rd inlet, either side of of the cockpit between the halo & head protection, inline with top of helmet

I think you're on to something. Right where the halo ends, at the beginning of the two tunnels that form the cars 'shoulders'.

the rb20 has not 2 inlets it has 3 the shoulders have em too

147 laps, just think how many laps a normal neck could take before failing.

The vertical inlets look like they are redbulls version of boundary layer control more than actual cooling.

I'm remaining optimistic about Ferrari as always, and also that Williams really is just having teething issues with their new design. Very excited about this season, especially coming off an amazing season. I'm looking forward to watching sauber since they're going so experimental.

The most important thing to see is how stable the chassis is in terms of movement because the aero stops working if the car begins squatting or diving. The RBR looks frozen in place. It’s crazy.

No one has a chance at genuine wins until 2026. Newey has smashed everyone again, but everyone is obsessed over the visible aero bits despite the floor still being responsible for 90%+ of performance.

Theoretically there was nothing holding anyone else back to go a second faster than Max either. But in general testing is not the best way to gauge where the teams are.

That’s a race lap record - would only count against PDLR’s record if it was set during the GP. Otherwise quali sessions blast that record every year

You said you were going to be calling them VCARB but then you called them RB. Don't do that. RB stands for Red Bull. I have always called Red Bull RB for short. I'm sure you've done the same. Call them VCARB or even better call them Toro Rosso because just look at the car, that's a Toro Rosso. It just is.

This year’s Williams is the first time the design is all Vowles’ led. So, it was a little alarming how bad it looked. Nothing’s changed at Haas in terms of design resources or philosophy, so we knew it’d be awful.

Vettel lost too much pace for too long. He left with fans pretty much universally loving him and there's basically 0 chance he'd win another title. Considering all that, if he comes back to F1 I think you should go get a lottery ticket since the odds are better. Considering his various activism though, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him in Formula E, Extreme E or any other climate-conscious (whether EV or not) series, either as a driver or another role.

@@GameOver-nm2us Have a look at Vettel and Alonso's respective head-to-head records against Stroll, in very similar cars in consecutive years. I like Vettel a lot, but there's nothing there to suggest he should make a comeback. Nobody is likely to give him a championship-winning car and he's left the sport being hugely popular and with 4 titles...the odds of a return improving his legacy are lottery-winning.

I think the RB livery looked cheap in the Sun.

See you in 2025 maybe then someone can give red bull a fight

@@jacobmech1 That’s true. The argument made that innovations from F1 trickle into road cars doesn’t hold true anymore. I get that it’s man and machine but it’s stagnate. What we have now is a directionless science fair of heavily regulated engineering which determines where the best drivers on earth finish races.

Too early to draw performance conclusions, but if RB think their race strategy through in the same way as their team name, we're in for some top level screw-ups 😄 I seriously don't get how they could have thought that using the acronym of their parent team isn't an entirely stupid idea. If nothing else, anyone in the future who goes and reads old comments on the internet is in for a nightmare. If the clothing brand fell through, Torro Rosso was a perfectly good team name. On the plus side, Danny Ric is back in an RB! Just, cheating a little there. Also good work Aldas getting a pretty detailed video out so quickly!

Radical Car? The Lotus 72, 78/79 and Brabham Fan car were radical. The RB 20 is a evolution of the RB 19 with different side pods. What's all of the fuss? Also it's been reported that Ferrari never used their DRS today but Red Bull did so let's see what happens next week before we crown RB 2024 champions.
