@@gaycha6589 They are, but Sky makes it seem like: "McLaren showed 2 weekends in a row that they were a match for RB which means McLaren is on par with RB." The truth however is that RB struggled, for some obvious reasons and for some not obvious reasons. That's why McLaren seem to be closer than they are, only if after Barcelona McLaren is right there with RB you can say they actually catched up because that's the first RB kind of track since a while.

Mmmm not sure about this. Lando won because of a lucky pit strategy, in imola red bull were struggling with set up all weekend but granted max did say he was struggling on the hards towards the end of the race. This weekend is an anomaly because there’s no overtaking but I’d be more inclined to wait until whatever race is after Monaco before I’d be saying that Miami and imola were not a fluke

He did make mistakes. GP had to tell him he was consistently wide in certain corners and it was losing him time to Lando within those last 10 laps.

He’s alright. They both need better lead commentators imo. I don’t think Alex Jacques is any better frankly. Brundle DC and Hinch are cool. Harry Benjamin filling in for Croft at Imola was terrible, he made seem what was a thrilling finish pretty dull.

Winning once ever 100 races is not good to mke u a potensial champion,sainz&le clarc a better option.u dont hv to win to b champion,just score better than the driver ontop.over two racers miami&imola,max score more points then norris,so hw cn he be a treat to max

It’s simple, and I don’t see why people overlook it. The McLaren is a track specific car, they always say it. They are good at getting heat into the tires on cold tracks and low deg tracks, so if a track is cold or low deg, the McLaren will be good, the red bull is the opposite, it’s great with tire deg but that is bad on cold and low deg tracks because they cannot get the heat into the tires. When we come to tracks after Monaco, with the exception of Singapore, red bull will be light on tire deg but the high deg track or high heat track temp will put heat in the tires, on the flip side it will destroy or overheat the McLaren tires. In imola, people were saying it was hotter than expected on the race day start, this is why max was able to pull a lead and noris destroyed his tires, at the end, the track cooled down and noris was on fire while max was struggling to put heat in the tires. It happened in real time I’m not sure why people over look this, it’s one of the biggest factors of f1, tire deg on certain tracks. If they bring the softest compound to a track, McLaren will probably do well, because it will be a low deg track, unless the track temp is hot, then they will overheat them

It was a fluke and imola was nowhere near as close as people think it was. You need a huge delta to overtake at Imola which Norris never even got close to. And even if he did Max would easily defend on a track that's hard to overtake.

Lando won cos of the free pitstop he got thanks to the SC in Miami, otherwise he would’ve been 4th at best. So the win was a indeed fluke cos McLarens Quali was BAD, REALLY BAD. They couldn’t drive a full Quali lap on the softs there without cooking them… The race pace McLaren had was good, their Quali was bad, the result was due to a lucky SC which gave Lando a free pitstop, at least 14sec gifted….which he otherwise would’ve had to regain on track AFTER his pitstop.

And Red Bull doesn't have Newey to give direction for their upgrades anymore.

😂 Newey wasn’t the one doing that these last seasons anyway…. They had the team reorganized since 2021 to prepare for Newey leaving. Nothing changes. Neweys main focus was suspension not full car development.

6-1 qualifying doesn’t translate into race results between them because George sets up his car for the Saturday and Lewis for the Sunday’s race. Exactly why George has “poor tire management” because he does 60 qualifying laps

Enjoy watching Lando & McLaren cars racing a lot but the british medias open bias way of reporting makes me want to see them fail just to harsh their mellow. Except for Hamilton the hypocrite & Damon Hill the woss I've enjoyed every British drivers race in F1, even rooted for Mika & David in their McLaren period but British medias bias is just too much now.

Antonelli to Williams after the summer break, then into the Mercedes in 2025. Bottas to Williams in 2025....Sainz to Audi or a sabbatical those are his two options and isnt it good to have crofty back, the only F1 commentator
